He was, for about 2 sec. Not Mel, but Max eating what looks like a delicious can of Dinki-Di dog food. |
A movie titled "Boneyard" and 3 men in the poster. First thing you think of, is this gay sh#t again. Good thing it didnt get titled 'Boneryard' (small mercies) |
"Made for TV" movie at best. Would have been better if instead of 50 they cast Common. Prob. didn't have the budget for that. |
Mel Gibson often chooses projects with good scripts and interesting directors. I'm in. |
I thoroughly enjoyed "On the Line" although some of his recent picks weren't as enjoyable to me as most of the projects he's been involved with. He may be a crazy son of a gun, but he knows how to make a movie. I frequently re-watch both Braveheart and Apocalypto |
True @ tosgravely but nothing decent since |
'Dragged Across Concrete' was superb. I also liked 'Fatman' (good, not amazing) and thought he did a great job in 'Boss Level'. |
The Original Mad Max. They need to do a Sequel for the Sequel with Mel in it as an older Max where he is in his 600 HP V8 Interceptor. |
@Guest-3123 More like Fiddy "Ate" amirite? |
For a movie based on true events it had a chance at being a good movie and with Mel G surely I had to watch. I actually turned it off after about 30. mins. I couldn't;t take the crap acting and more so the production. It was pure rubbish. The movie was stilted in my opinion ( and it is only my opinion) - The script was terrible in the way the actors had to bring the scenes across. I would give the movie a 2/10 but even though I couldn't bring myself to watch anymore of it, that would be a max. |
i completely agree. i generally like mel gibson and the films he's in so it had that advantage, but this was unbearable to watch. a strange, disjointed series of madhouse/feverdream like scenes and plots, completely unengaging and with acting so wooden that i genuinely tried to check if the audio was dubbed. so bad |
Mel Gibson is one of my favorite actors..! That being said, this one is definitely being added to my list of movies still needed to be viewed, however, this will probably go to the top of my list and be watched immediately..! Thanks for the upload G! Cheers🍻 D |
Boy are you ever going to be disappointed @DsMods |
Just a testimonial. Very sad ending. Not for entertainment. Maybe useful as a warning of some kind, still processing. |
"The Boneyard" is yet another “inspired by true events”, "fictionalized", serial killer low profile movie that is better served as a TV police procedural than a feature film. In 2009, a woman walking her pooch in Albuquerque's West Mesa, made a horrific discovery: a human bone, leading authorities to uncover the remains of a dozen bodies ( all female ). The cast features an intense performance from Gibson paired with the earnest effort of 50 Cent, though lacking in refined skill. (As a viewer, there is an undeniable ugliness surrounding Mel Gibson that is difficult to ignore; it's not a one-time occurrence but rather a recurring well publicized theme. One cannot help but question how his relationship on set with 50 Cent unfolded.) The movie struggles to maintain tension and atmosphere throughout. Director Smith use of elliptical narratives and “shaky cams” in order to create urgency to engage viewers adds a touch of realism but ultimately fails because the film loses its momentum and becomes tedious after 20 minutes in. |
