| Watched first two episodes. Found it better than Mopey-Wan Kenobi with no disrespect to Ewan McGregor. The days of knights in shining armour rescuing damsels in distress are over Peeps (to borrow a term from Reaper ). And, there's nothing Woke in shows/movies about "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...." I saw the first Star Wars way back as a 15-year-old in the late 1970s and loved it. | Actually , I don't think the show is being any of the things the showrunner and star said it was going to be in that cringe interview a while back where they said it was going to be the "gayest star wars ever". There hasn't been anything really gay about the show whatsoever. it's just bad. bad writing and bad acting and bad direction. It's shockingly bad. I don't care that people who look like me aren't allowed on screen in this show. (straight white guy) Like a lot of people, I'm just hate watching it at this point to see how bad it can actually get. Episode 5 was shyte. Don't even know where to begin. The sith just killed all your Jedi friends, but no no no, killing him when you get the chance would be wrong. the master jedi can't tell all she did was take her sisters clothing and isn't really her. Jesus. And was there anybody on the planet who thought the sith was actually going to be eaten by bugs???? The dynamic between the sisters is just stooopid. They go from love you to I'll kill you within 30 seconds. The writing is shockingly stupid. By this metric, we all get our own Star Wars show at some point. This will be remembered as a stand alone show that had nothing to do with Star Wars. A disturbance in the force if you will... |
