 | Yes. It is the same movie only that in black and white. Supposedly, if you watch it like this, the feeling of desolation in that post-nuclear futuristic landscape will be bigger than in the colour version. |

 | Thanks, still, it is a strange idea indeed, when it's the post-furnace heat and the red colors of the Australian outback that define the strength and spirit of Mad Max, added to the fact It's really a pity for Charlize's lovely eyes. Leave the chrome to "The Book of Eli"each has its own style, in my humble opinion. |

| B&W is definitely niche nowadays. I love some of them tho. Its funny I hated B&W growing up, but now some of my fave movies are B&W, old and newer. I recently watched Black And Chrome Edition and thought it was sweet. A few other newer B&W movies I enjoyed were: The Mist 2007, Justice League 2021 (Justice is Grey), and the recently released Godzilla Minus One (Minus Color) 2023. | Black and white , if done right, is not the colour version desaturated. When colour is projected it impacts both brightness and contrast in all three colour channels. Conversion is actually a specific skilled process. Think colourization. Adding colour to back n white doesn't get it done. The reverse is true as well |

 | Having taken film school at UCLA, black and white cinematics, if used properly, do evoke a different emotional response. For instance, red blood on screen is perceived much differently when black/white. In this case, it's just the movie is black and white - it's not that scenes in this movie were specifically designed for b/w, but you could just roll the dice and I'm sure that there are some that you will perceive some scenes differently vs. a color flick. |

| So how is anyone supposed to see what colour the smoke flares are? I don't like black and white, I almost didn't watch Poor Things ( which is great) because of the black and white start, glad I skipped around and seen that they add colour pretty quickly. Black and White has its place, but this isn't it. |
