| Best episode of the season Anthony Starr acting is phenomenal and emmy worthy and Homelander backstory was really well done,Homelander is both terrifying monstrous psychopath and pretty tragic character since he know if he wasn't tortured and brough up as a lab rat with no love and effection he likely wouldn't be narcissistic psychopath that he is. Character development for each individual character was amazing and action was phenomenal this episode is 10/10 easily as much as triggered delusional rightoids would deny it this season is great and just as good as 1-3 and season 5 with all the buildup should be phenomenal. Also it's so hilarious it took 4 seasons for right wingers to realize show is not on their side than they spend entire episode critisizing organized religious cults in first seasons always criticized corporatism and oligarchy and how power can be abused and had literal nazi named after white supremacist website Stormfront manipulating the public and spreading propaganda in season 2 as allegory to far right it couldn't be more obvious from first two seasons that this show is against far right and current maga extremism,but right wingers have no media literacy. | Unlike previous seasons the plot where laid out ep1 and it was hard hitting, everything was "in your face" there where also twists and turns, it had humor and style. | Sadly, episode 3 of this latest season was the most effeminate yet. This is an undesirable trait in a series wherein the source material is always masculine in topic and tone. Butcher's character has been butchered and turned into a supporting character in his own series. Frenchie has becomes a whiner, his sub-plot consisting of him magically becoming gay, while the woman he previously loved, and painstakingly built a relationship with, is now reduced to a cheerleader for his homosexuality. Hughie is trapped in a cheap soap opera, in which he's schooled by his mom on postpartum depression. Bad things can be said about every aspect of the episodes in this season to date. Perhaps the most annoying is how selectively dumb characters suddenly become, so that the increasingly fractured plot may be advanced. The Boys has been neutered, and like GenZ, has become The Girls. The Woke will cheer these developments, as for them all that matters is seeing their religion propagated on screen. | This season's treatment of MM, Frenchie, Hughie and Butcher has all been inauthentic in light of their characters and behaviors in the original graphic novels. The new sub-lots all seem as if they have been torn out of poor daytime soap operas. |

| Why are all the black characters in the show presented sympathetically? Mothers Milk is now the leader because he's black? What about A-Train being the most moral of the seven? Or Sister Sage who they say is the most intelligent person, so of course they made her black and she keeps mentioning her race. |

| Very true. When coincidence becomes a plot driver (MM's child's stepfather), and characters selectively become temporarily incompetent in internally inconsistent ways (Homelander not being able to kill Hughie in vent system), you're looking at sloppy writing. |

 | Amazon has only received $6.7 billion in local tax subsidies. Maybe if Americans pay even higher taxes, to give Amazon a bigger budget, they can improve the series? I'm in the camp with others thinking S1 and S2 were solid, but once the newness wears off producers/writers have to work hard to make it interesting. |
