Thanx for the up, Great work TG, I Enjoyed ep 1 & 2, For me well worth the watch so far |
TY! TY! TY! ... wow, what a great show. Must cost a fortune to produce but is it ever beautiful. #3 was pretty awesome... can't wait till next time! |
A lot of subs but this series is def worth it looking forward to today's episode. |
Thank you Galaxy. My only gripe with subtitles is the speed in which they change. Mostly it's not an issue. But with shows that have such amazing cinematography I find myself lingering too long on the background and forgetting to read. That extra second of delay I have can be frustrating. Loving the atmosphere so far and for a drama, finding it's not dragging its feet like others. Bring on ep4... |
would be nice if they'd do subtitles differently, so you can focus more on the background instead of bottom of the screen. Recall in a Sherlock when they were texting on their phone, it'd post the msg on center screen next to the character. Or for with Shogun, why not put the text centered under who is speaking... |
Thanks galaxyguys, good series altho is weird that the portugueses themselves and the main character british Major John Blackthorne (Cosmo Jarvis) said that he is fluent in portuguese in the "series" yet they don't speak any "actual" word in portuguese , '_' well at least the japaneses are speaking japanese. Guys next episiode E4 - The Eightfold Fence - March 12 Thawne |
Yes, this confused me in the first episode when the British/dutch sailors first washed up in Japan. they spoke English, and when the priest was called to translate, they mentioned Portuguese, but there was no way to know or suspect the language change unless indicated. It's easy to understand now though. |
I think it is good that the Portuguese is in English, For me it would be too much with the Japanese subtitles already, I always have preferred English speaking for film, Personally I dont like too many subtitles but that is just my preference. |
This is another example of the disrespect and laziness here in America. You see it on Netflix and other services all of the time. It's frustrating hearing Americans doing English voice-overs for Japanese and other shows. Absolutely no respect to even get people from that nationality do it. |
to much talking and talking ive deleted it very fast did watch 2 not a 3e |
Its called a story and acting, Is too much for your brain to take in? Movies dont have to be hack and slash killing but for you I guess so, I good movies wasted on the likes of you. |
