Is it getting any better? The first episode had awful acting and felt like a soap opera. Nowhere near as good as Band of Brothers or The Pacific. |
Not as good, definitely, but considering the amount of utter garbage on TV right now, I don't think beggars can be choosers. I enjoyed Callum Turner in The Boys in the Boat, so I guess that might have biased me a bit. As to it getting better, I would say yes, at least it's not got any worse. It grows on you. |
Thanx for the up, Expectations for this may be too high comparing to B.o.b and The pacific. |
Nothing EveR iz going to be as good az Band of Brothers or The Pacific |
Yes might binge watch them both again this weekend. |
It's great if you want to believe that the RAF was piloted by incompetent, upper-class cowards and USAF won the war. 'Baled out' half way through the 3rd episode. Can't wait for S & H's remake of the Battle of Britain. |
I don't like the bashing of the series so far. It's not Band of Brother or The Pacific. This is whole different genre that flew B-17 in World War II. Think about what they were doing and where. Not in the jungle or running across Europe. They were at an air base doing their best.Making sure the Germans were beaten back |
it becomes somewhat tolerable as the episodes go by. I agree that it's not on the level of BoB or TP but when you get to the point where planes started to go down, you will kind of feel that "we are getting there now" I hate the previews at each episode's end |
No idea what you had been watching. The first episode was fantastic. Both Austin Butler and Callum Turner are great and so is Barry Keoghan and other reliable actors in the support. |
hanks for the uploads. I actually enjoy this show as it seems a lot more realistic in how things went etc. Maybe the acting's a little ragged, but it's getting really hard to find something worth watching in this "brave new, pc, gender equal LGBQTS" world. It's sad to see many classic shows being "racially purged", yes I'm talking Doctor Who etc (don't get me started about the coloured/asian Mr and Mrs Smith). |
What on earth are you talking about? That's exactly what is so great about modern cinema and TV, having all those talented sexually and racially diverse actors and filmmakers. Something that the popular culture of the past critically lacked. |
I'm enjoying this more than I anticipated...Excellent production but that's no surprise given the budget!! Thanks for the upload... |
