I am current on version 1.3, can someone walk me through how I upgrade to 1.4 using this? Do I need to reinstall? |
Since this game is still in early access, updates aren't likely to be 'tidy'. If you're not on a metered connection, it's going to be easier to download the whole game for each update. Savefiles are stored in Appdata as I commented elsewhere on this post. |
Many thanks @theharber! Just realized this after I downloaded the new 1.4 version. Ran the new Palworld.exe file and it worked fine, I didn't need to reinstall nor move my character data. |
Is it possible for me to update the cracked game? So that I dont loose my progress after installing newer version. |
-In windows explorer, type "%appdata%" in the address bar to open App Data/Roaming. -Move up a folder and go to appdata/Local/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/yourSaveNumber -Make a copy of your save file incase updating the game erases your progress (shouldn't happen, I'd imagine.) |
It's not preset from a steam emulator-- the very first thing you do in character creation is choose a name, which defaults to "Noob" if you don't change it. Currently there's no way to change your character after creation, though they've mentioned implementing that at a later date. |
Is working online to, a great server with 1.000 players slots and big XP and drop rates then normal, connect with 86.120.86.24:8211 |
Sorry for the last one, I mean, I am currently on version 1.2, can I directly update to 1.4 by installing this version? |
Yes; just delete the whole 1.2 folder and install 1.4. Save files are located elsewhere in AppData, and aren't version-dependent, so you'll be ready to go. |
