Plot:
The North American counter-terrorism force Team America attacks a group of terrorists in Paris. Later, the leader of the organization, Spottswoode, invites the famous Broadway actor Gary Johnston to join his world police and work undercover in Cairo, infiltrating a terrorist organization in the hope they will disclose their plan of destroying the world. Team America destroy the cell of terrorists, but then the Panama Canal is attacked by the criminals as a payback. Gary feels responsible for the death of many innocents and leaves the counter-terrorism organization. When the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Il, joins a group of pacifist actors and actresses with the intention of using weapons of massive destruction, Team America tries to avoid the destruction of the world.

Release Notes: "Team America: World Police" was originally released on Blu-ray in 2015 by Warner Brothers, and now Shout Factory takes control of the title. The AVC encoded image (2.40:1 aspect ratio) presentation is listed as a "New remaster from a 2023 4K scan of the original camera negative." With this movie, detail matters, and frame information is clear and welcoming during the viewing experience, with the particulars of this puppet universe open for exploration. Skin surfaces are textured, along with costuming. Sets are also dimensional and crisp, preserving the endeavor's tremendous craftsmanship. Colors are exact, with bold patriotic primaries on war machines and clothing choices. Deeper reds and golds are found with North Korean activity. Delineation is satisfactory. Grain is fine and film-like. Source is in good condition.

 | @CostaBr33ze The quality difference between a 40mbps blu ray and a 20mbps compressed version is so very obvious if you're watching on an OLED or even most higher end TVs. The bigger and more contrasty the screen, the more that quality difference matters. I watch on an 83" OLED and have found difficulty sourcing content online that looks good on that format, which is why I decided to start uploading content for my fellow quality-conscious viewers. |

| Especially since it was scanned in 4k...would have been a cool movie to see in dolby vision. Seems like Guest-5598 is a little salty the movie went over his head... and CostaBr33ze apparently hasn't seen a blu-ray before, that's a pretty standard bitrate for blu-rays. |

| Would be cool to see, but being that its all puppets and hand drawn sets the 1080 looks good to me! @CostaBr33ze, most 1080 blu-rays are right around 30 gigs on 33 gig disks, the rest is filled with bonus features. @Guest-5598, to each their own, Trey and Matt are pretty famous for their social commentary though. |
