 | I can't stand Adam Driver. As an Italian, I am offended they cast him as Enzo Ferrari and I am also offended they didn't cast an Italian actor for the role. I am also offended they cast Penelope Cruz as Laura Ferrari, she is Spanish not Italian. Plenty of Italian actresses around. Shailene Woodley as Lina Lardi, Enzo Ferrari's mistress is also wrong. Again, I am offended and again she should had been played by an Italian actress. Looking at the cast listing on IMDB, those 3 top characters are all miscast, only Jean Behra is correct. Then I see everyone else is played by an Italian actor and actress. Why they couldn't use 3 of them for the three top characters? One review on IMDB sums it up "This movie is as embarrassing as an Italian singer performing a song in English. In a word, "cringe". Let's hope that Adam Driver soon stops accepting parts of Italians, stereotyping them in a ridiculous way." |

 | Have to disagree jaxe. Ford v Ferrari was a commercial success. It earned $225 million worldwide against a budget of $97 million. Both Bale and Damon gave excellent performances. Ford Corp hated the film which depicted HFII as a dolt and Beebe as a corporate nasty and gave Enzo the moral high ground at the end. |
