What's with all the Arabic uploads? Political point scoring or what? |
I was actually wondering the same thing and came here looking to see if there was an answer. Nope! |
I believe someone requested all four movies from TGX & they decided to put them out for us. I think not dubbing them "can" illustrate your point below as well! Whomever can twist the "political" narrative, instead of just dubbing them into English (unbiased). I believe the intent by TGX NEVER HAS a political bias!! |
People are interested about the other side and they want to see their cinema, pretty normal and expected, nothing political about it |
Out of curiosity, if you don’t mind, have you asked the same question about movies in Tagalo? Or did the cover already answer the question? |
ReadThis, (TGX NEVER HAS a political bias!!) That's very funny! |
Yeahhh, i don't mind but, i downloaded the The atack and gave up on the first 10 mns, not against arabic movies but is there a reason for it? Like i am from Brazil and i know our movies sux so i rather see an argentinian upload. Strang |
Watched it. In the initial minutes of Huda's Salon, a woman enters a salon to get her hair cut and something happens so surprising and shocking. The film centers around the 3 people in Salon and how each one handles the situation. The director Abu-Assad is focused on the progression of scenes, there is no idle chit-chat or drifting off topic. The film is set in Bethlehem. The narrative explores how she goes about collecting information and the extent she is willing to go for information. Most of the film, and the most interesting are scenes of Huda and the operative questioning her. Huda is a force to be reckoned. The movie is well paced and keeps your attention. subtitles are in English. |
Totally agree with you, this should be a non-political site. There are great movies from all over the world on here, so why indeed should this suddenly become pro-one side or the other. I chose this site for its non-biased approach and do not need lecturing on |
It should be! But, if you don't agree with the certain spectrum you get points taken away. If disagree with certain members you get you comment removed. Even if you don't use profanity or abuse! |
The fact some of you people think the Arabic movie uploads are some sort of poltical statement is baffling. Someone likely requested a bunch of them, just like any other movie they've done, just that this one happens to be Arabic. |
Everything is a political statement these days. Strange, I don't recall seeing many Arabic uploads pre Oct. 7th. |
Not to mention the fact that COVID-19 seriously tanked any backlog of the American Film Industry, and it's been putting out mostly dreck with the occasional big tentpole for like 2 years now... |
It was a decent film I watched 2 yrs back, but in the present context, it has become a nefarious propaganda film. Tells a lot how perception change drastically according to situation, how shallow and malleable it stands in the face of propaganda. |
More of a historical document of what Palestine used to look like yesteryear. Today It's currently being pulverized into a heap of rubble, thousands of dead civilians and children included. |
Children downvoting an accurate statement. Sad |
I wonder if these people regard holocaust as a political issue too? |
