Set in idyllic Angel Falls. | Watched it. There is so much to enjoy about this movie.... the cast, the way the killer moves with fierce determination and swift brutality, the allure of the pearl like mask and cape, and some decent jump scares. The first 20 minutes holds your attention, but then the premise starts to get muddled and tiresome. Some of the same horror tropes are used in this holiday horror film. The movie aligns more with Scream than Halloween. The protagonist and the story jump the shark when the "change of universe" occurs. Davis, McHale and and an aged Long give the movie some credibility but it loses it fun along the way. |
