I enjoyed this series but Rurouni Kenshin is flawless in my opinion, Blue Eye Samurai have 8 episodes and it was good, it had a detail which is a spoiler and I didn't enjoy, the series have gore and good fights with a lot of blood. It showed the Japan/Tokyo in 1633. Blue Eye Samurai 6/10 Thawne |
Surprise surprise, Thawne likes Kenshin when most fans disavowed due to the pedophilia charges with the creator Nobuhiro Watsuki. Before you go separate the art from the artist, remember this fandom shielded him from charges.. so fuck him.. and fuck them. |
Totally agree with you, I'll add, imho, some moments remind me of AFROSAMURAI. |
Why is there only 2.0 audio? the show has a very good Dolby Atmos sound design. |
Thought the first half of the show was very strong, but the later half kinda fell short of capitalizing on the buildup. Still, hope it gets a Season 2 as I would like to see where they go with this. |
From the preview scenes, the animation looks gorgeous. And this is Netflix, so it might actually be good. |
I turned it off right at the moment in Ep 1 when a princess goes to her dad complaining about her marriage and fate as a woman. Jesus Christ, it's boring and has nothing to do with 1633 Japan. None of this show does for that matter. Great animation, though. |
Setting aside the fact that this is fiction, for modern audiences... do you think women only developed internal lives in the 19th century, or something? |
Looked ok until i saw TDS sufferer and misinformation spreader George Takei cast in it. |
Well hope you don't drive volkswagens either or watch Kenshin :) |
that will own the libs |
Was I supposed to be surprised at the "big reveal" at the end of episode 1? I mean, who did not see that coming? Loved the animation, art directions and the voice acting, but I think the story is saddled with too many familiar tropes and cliches. The writers could have done better. |
