| as the outline says drama fantasy, Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, Jesus, were all historically proven to be real, its the fantasy part of religion and what happened. No myth about the characters, just what happened with them/to them. Learn history before such a comment. Im not a bible thumper and I know the individuals r real. |

| You forgot something. The promise God made was jointly to Abraham and his wife Sarah. Therefore, this was technically their first born son. The fact that Abraham lost faith and had a child through his wife's hand maiden only made it more necessary to establish faith by the promise of sacrificing his son. |

| You missed a key factor. Abraham knew that God would provide a way out, because God promised him that his descendants would be more abundant than the sands on the beach. So, not so much a horror story. The test needed to be made in order to establish faith in the world, which as principle would be available to others |
