This is a great Australian movie. Nothing to do with racism..just how it was years ago unfortunately. Just watch the bloody movie and stop being so stupid. |
“The problem with Australians is not that so many of them are descended from convicts, but that so many of them are descended from prison officers.” |
You are correct. I watched it last night, it was a little slow but I enjoyed it. Good acting all the way around. |
"This is a great Australian movie", bit of a contradition in terms... like saying "this is a great piece of dog feces". |
Well as an ozzie I look forward to watching this and if it does what it is intended to do it might be a good movie I love an emotional rollercoaster. Thanks to the uploader |
Thanks for the share. Much appreciated... A/V 8. Dang reading them comments... We should remane it just for this movie to... Oh boy, oh boy.. |
No one forcing people to comment on films they will NEVER watch!!! |
To be fair, the biggest difference with this type of Australian film and those from the United States on Africans is that in the former it is the Indigenous and the latter is just another immigrant race, much like their Caucasian colonialists who shipped them there. That said, the end result is the same; both American and Australian Indigenous still have not regained majority roles in Government and most likely never will, as they are ostracised by everyone living on their land, which includes the African-descent Americans are proud to show off as progress ... |
All the black America senators, black congressman (and women) and the black America President (Obama two terms) may want to disagree with your misinformed statement. |
Yet another film that explores the damage the white man does to the poor brown peoples. Big nope! Go ahead and sling the R word at me. I do not care. |

@jaxe You're applying circular logic. Nobody is forcing you to reply and post random comments either. |
@jaxe doesn't like it when people they disagree with comment on a message board. Conservative freedom, but only when they agree with it. Clown. |
People mostly get intimidated by the R-word flung at them. What if they started to wear it like a badge? |
Cyanide brings up an interesting and scary point. Love to discuss but not what we are here for. I am not the audience they are playing to. |
I am thinking of a different R word than you. :) But I won't tell you which one. |
Indians wiped out the true natives of Australia long before the white man. How about a movie about that? Next we can explore how Asians came across the land bridge into north America and invaded whatever species was there as well; there are records of Denisovans and other 'humaniod' creatures during that era as well. |
Cyanide... "What if they started to wear it like a badge?" A lot of "them" already do |
@LiberalLesbo I know I do for one which is why I mentioned it . |
This exists since the 16th century with the "the noble savage" concept. Dunno why y'all think it's new or "woke". |
Melanin is a pigment found in your skin and hair cells that gives each its color. It does seem weird that the sun bleaches our hair and darkens our skin. This mostly has to do with hair being dead and skin being alive. The sun bleaches and destroys the melanin in your hair giving you lighter hair. |
The latest 2016 study shows that blonde hair is quite common in the Indigenous Australians. That said, its genes were brought by from interaction with other races, earlier than colonialism; this makes sense since they established centuries sea cucumber trade with Indonesia, and Indonesia with China and Europe. |
ooow you can just feel the testosterone in the room well just smother me in butter |
I'm watching the movie right now and I'll post my review later but it seems that this forum has a lot of people who are allowing themselves to be easily manipulated by certain people here . |
I watched it last night, it was a little slow but I enjoyed it. |
i watched it. so this kid has some abilities but loses them when being baptised. a bit boring subject. it's a fantasy story that uses a historical background to the only avail to teach a lesson that christianity is bad because you will lose your special powers (think free will). why would they want to do that? why is there a lesson there? can it not just be a story for children? |
Thanks I have downloaded it and will watch it tonight, need a break from watching ancient aliens seasons 1 - 19 that I bought online and ripped for $300. |
Plot reminds me of the Peter Weir movie, The Last Wave, sounds totally intense, will check it out, thanks! |
Movie is not my cup of tea. Sounds kinda boring and a bit too cerebral for me. That being said, if it seems interesting to you hit that download button and enjoy. |
