Why do the radical left continue to perpetuate the myth that certain groups, specifically aboriginal/native/first nations, are somehow more special, pure and morally advanced than anyone of European descent? The irony of it, is that most of the movies, books and ridiculous fantasizing about a fictional paradise lost, is coming from White Europeans and Americans, using technology and story telling methods invented by White Europeans (and Americans), to excoriate White Europeans (and Americans) for being fortunate enough to develop the most sophisticated, wealthy and productive societies in human history. Historically, every human culture has experienced a Stone Age culture. There is no inherent virtue in never having evolved past that point. |
Tell me where the movie no one forced you to watch hurt you. Are you really so fragile that a Cate Blanchette movie offends your white supremacy to the core that you need to rant about something you think should not exist? Is your idea of freedom so narrow that now you only want things you approve of to exist? |
@Guest-2711: Are you a Liberal/Democrat who thinks: 1. Rules are for everyone but not for you ; 2. It's the Democrat's/Liberal's way or the highway; 3. Anyone who disagrees with you or have different POV from yours is automatically racist, toxic masculinity, white supremacist, domestic terrorist, a Weinstein, etc. |
Buzz words/phrases such as 'white supremacy' mark you as Woke and a racist. The Woke believe discussing race in any manner outside of the framework they provide is unacceptable. The reflexive response, scream 'racism' and 'white supremacy', as if the latter is as common as rain. Understand Guest-2771's manipulation. |
You cite no evidence for anything you state... the "radical left" -- just as the "extreme right" -- are impossible to identify; nobody is "more special" than anyone else. Your statements have no basis in fact, and appear entirely rooted in racialized hostility, but thank you for opinion. I'll enjoy the movie I'm sure. |
Not sure what you're on about. If you don't like the sound of the movie, don't watch it. If you do watch it, please provide a rating with constructive commentary, not a random political rant. |
Why does the Left tell these stories? For the same reason the Right tell stories of white western male heroes saving the world once again. Maybe you could ask yourself why cinema keeps giving us movies like james bond, taken, indiana jones, all the marvel movies, interstellar, spy kids, top gun and soooo many others. |
LiberalLesbo: My o/p is rooted in historical accuracy. As for citing proof; perhaps you misunderstand the nature of this forum. But I get it, your favorite tactics are ex cathedra Woke statements. Try refuting the argument as opposed to attempting to undermine it's author. |
@Brrzrrkrr So let me get this straight. A movie you are never going to watch is somehow abhorrent to you because it isn't about white people being the masters of the universe? |
Brrzrrkrr: Your arguments are not rooted in "historical accuracy", they are rooted in your own interpretations with very little to do with reality. The word counts are insufficient to refute the sheer amount of misinformation you proffer, hence our PM discussions; where you still fail to provide evidence for anything. |
My argument is that the Woke propagate the myth of the noble savage: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noble_savage I also stated that ALL human cultures have experienced a 'Stone Age', it isn't special or laudable when a culture fails to advance past it. https://www.worldhistory.org/Stone_Age/ |
The noble savage is a concept europeans introduced in the 16th century. Dunno why whites hate it so much now. |
