Its not Asimov, but its compelling viewing still. If only for Lee Pace, who makes it worthwhile. He's got great talent and scope as an actor, I mean who'd have known he was the elf king Thranduil in the Hobbit movies! |
The Foundation series of books by Asimov is extremely difficult to adapt into a semi-linear format suitable for TV (or a movie). There's a bazillion characters and factions spanning thousands of years. One way to "solve" this is to simplify the plot and have some continuation in the characters, as done here. |
Great show, lavish and epic (confusing at times) This episode was thrilling |
Well, i really can say that, the series isn't that i was waiting for. My comment about is that in the books of Isaak Asimov's, was totally detailed , but the most important was that every detail connected like part of the same sentence , so helps you a lot to follow all the complexity of the story . I can understand the difficulties to transfer a book to the screen, even so for me the details are all the money. |
people said that about Ann Rice's interview with the vampire. Then found out the latest 'woke' version was actually what she wanted, and thus directed and produced a few. So basically you dont know if Asimov would be rolling in his grave. It is just YOU projecting, its that simple |
Just Like "Altered Carbon"..................................... Surprisingly Enjoyable. |
Why surprisingly? I tend to imagine sitting 1 hour watching this. Then the end. And tada - surprise! It was enjoyable |
Well season 1 of Altered Carbon was, i thought season 2 was meh. I enjoy the lee pace scenes in foundation, but can't stand the nonsense with the two "strong women of colour" actresses who have obviously been cast specifically to tick that box. |
