I remember hearing about this 20 years ago , a talking mongoose, brilliant I will give it a go . |
I swear to God, if the mongoose starts trying to sell me car insurance... |
seems like a basic psychological film about Existentialism crossed with Schrödinger's cat Guess they didnt have much excitement in the 1930s considering everyone fell for the War of the worlds in 1938 Apparently Gef was shot by the new home owner in 1946 Here is a song that was written about him in 2009 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyzQ-ZFSQic A6.5 V6.5 |
It's a Simon Pegg movie so it'll be worth watching. I'll wait for a clear copy personally. |
This weeks releases included a KILLER SLOTH and a TALKING MONGOOSE....hmmm |
Im 15 min in and am enjoying it, sound is decent 8 and video a low 7 has usual ads but that's what we sign on for right? |
no, we don't sign on for that. If people would stop downloading the shitty versions that include bouncing logos and ads, they would eventually concede and remove them from the files. That's what you signed for, not we. |
Based on a true story and this time it's really is based on a true story, to some extent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gef |
"... to some extent." Luvya Mr. j... let me guess, the point at which the mongoose opened its mouth and asked whether he was on a fee or a percentage of box office? |

wow, speaking of flying pigs... two legitimately informative posts Jaxe?? Seriously though nice work! |
@JovianMoonrise My thoughts exactly I was in the middle of commenting this earlier but got interrupted. Lol. I also meant to say some of us are just here for Simon Pegg and Christopher Lloyd anyhow. :P Hopefully the plot is decent enough not worried about the acting. |
Starring Simon Pegg, Christopher Lloyd and Minnie Driver. Let me see: 1. Whenever I see Simon Pegg, I think of Mission: Impossible. 2. Whenever I see Christopher Lloyd, I think of Star Trek: The Search For Spock and Back To The Future. 3. Whenever I see Minnie Driver, I think of a cat getting strangled. |
Simon Pegg? Most people in the know (actually) will know him in the Classic Shaun of the Dead moreso. Minnie Driver the Classic Good Will Hunting. Your trying to sound clever opinion, with not a lot of point to it, as usual. 👍👍 |
@Yomanda: you need to do research before yapping your pie hole. 1. Good Will Hunting was 1997. I saw Minnie Driver for the first time in 1995 in James Bond GoldenEye where she was strangling a cat. 2. I didn't see Simon Pegg until the M:I movies. Shaun of the Dead he was still unknown on the big screen. |
Except Minnie Driver wasn't strangling a cat.. it was James Bond who noted that Irina (Minnie Driver's Character) sounded like a cat being strangled. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTxZeHy4kOI So perhaps a shutting of your own pie hole is in order. |
Simon Pegg started his career (e.g. Spaced, Shaun) as a very funny guy. But each subsequent appearance of his has been 10% less funny. All the humour has been leeched out of his later works. |
@drbckt: from your answer you don't know the meaning of strangling a cat. It means "when someone is singing very badly... as in the sound a cat would make if you where choking it." Minnie Driver character Irina was singing very badly. |
