Hurriganes are a Finnish rock band formed in 1971. They were very popular in Finland in the 1970s and early 80s. There is a lot of nostalgic rock and roll in their music. During their "classic" period, the band's repertoire consisted largely of sped up and heavy cover versions of famous 1950s rock and roll songs, in addition to their own original material. In this sense, Hurriganes can be seen as Finland's answer to the British pub rock of those years.
