Thorton and Wright delivers in a solid acting performance as always but the storyline is pretty predictable and under delivers. Hopper Penn on the other hand, not so much. The guy is 30 years old and playing a younger person, who seems to be borderline retarded even when not intended. His character really sucks in this show and does not reflect anything in real life that a real person would do in similar situations. I had high hopes for the movie consider Thorton/Wright was in it, been the main focus is Penn and he is just a terrible actor, it makes it very hard to watch. The story is also predictable and not very interesting. Considering all the options they had to work with it, it is very disappointing to see this as the final product. Seems to be focused on a low budget trying to deliver some profit rather than anything towards a good movie that anyone would enjoy watching. It's mediocre at best, slow paced and the ending is a bit predictable. |
you are off your head Hopper Penn made the movie, Billy Bob is the bad actor |
I guess Slingblade was bad as well edhardy3. |
Yeah, I'm not real sure how I feel about Billy's performance in this, seemed a bit wooden and hollow like he phoned it in, maybe just more of a supporting role, than a leading one. Though that could be the story and script. I agree that Robin Wright and her son Hopper were the clear standouts carrying the film and story forward being mostly responsible for the drama.... |
it's a good movie I give it a 4 out of 5, would watch it again, it's somewhat predictable how things play out but the way it does is good enough for me, so much for trying that in a small town right?....RIGHT!? |
Surprisingly internet warriors aren't talking a bunch of crap about an actor or movie. wow. ENJOY. Thanks uploader. |
Breaking Bad with low budget and not C₁₀H₁₅N 99.1% ^^ Hard pass. Thawne. |
Hopper Penn is Sean Penn's son. Robin Wright (remember her as Jenny in Forrest Gump?) is Sean Penn's 2nd of 3 ex-wives and also Hopper Penn's mom. |
I remember her as "Kelly Capwell" for the first 4 years (1984-1988) of the daytime soap opera "Santa Barbara". |
How is this relevant? We will read the tabloids when we want to hear who did who and why and when. |
