Jesus, can nobody just tell us how it looks and sounds? Why do ya'll insist on making everything a lunatic political tooth-pull? Some of us just don't want to waste the data if it's a bad copy? A/V? |
Many spanx for this upload and your helpful commentz |
I downloaded Haunted Mansion, and am keen to watch it for several reasons. Reason #1: Walt Disney productions make other media that I enjoy. Interestingly one major hypocrite on this web site has admitted that he loves some of their stuff too, and will watch that, but doesn’t like anything that doesn’t chime with his bigotry. Reason #2: Written by a woman who wrote 3 movies that a lot of people tell me were awful (I haven’t seen them, so commenting would be idiotic), but a lot of other people tell me are quite entertaining. I’ll watch and make my own mind up… thank you for the opportunity TGxMovies Reason #3: The movie is directed by someone with a valid socio-political stance to convey, based on his experiences in a society that has been structurally racist since it came into being. This is not an ‘opinion’, it is supported by a large body of primary research by reputable authors (see examples below). In contrast, a white person addressing their feelings with reference to black people is not an account of facing daily bigotry and disdain inflicted upon you by your very country, its government, and a large proportion of fellow citizens. It is instead an example of the “upswelling of antiracist activism” (Krieger, 2022, p. 810), empowered by the current socio-political climate. I could, of course, now cite further references from pointless pseudo-anonymous internet sources, saying anything I like really, but that would just be rather silly wouldn’t it? References Bailey, Z. Uh, right on. How's the picture and sound on the cam, though? |
Another Acronym person with one track mind and tunnel vision. Everything their smaller % group of the population says and think is always true and correct and everything the largest % of population says or disagree with them, it's always bigoted, prejudiced, lies, toxic, white privilege, racist. |
No, Jaxe, I referred to primary research performed by reputable, professional researchers in the last three years. As I state above, what I said was not 'opinion' at all, each empirical statement was based on solid evidence... even your own hypocrisy established by your own past comments. |
Guest-3231 -- er, not good really. In my judgement, poor/average for a cam. Watchable, but you wouldn't keep it or watch a again. It's worth checking out if you think you'd like to see a decent copy later. The movie itself is fun and entertaining, about a 6/10 I'd say |
I don't understand why rich white people are trying to make everything racist, I had to listen to a country song by Jason Aldean yesterday because alot of people were saying it was racist and trying to get it cancelled. Not a single thing in the song mentioned race. Anti racism is just racism disguised. |
There's very little real racism going on especially towards black people except from the Leftists who think blacks aren't capable of getting into schools based on their merit, affirmative action is racist and many other "programs" that are "anti racist" LOL. You basically are telling us we aren't smart enough to do it |
Darc: See the references above... real-world data: Structural racism is very much alive and stomping its Jackboots on non-whites throughout the US. Some of you can have your fun denying fact, but I won't be taking part in this any more unless somebody wants to PM me for a sensible conversation based on data |
Guest-3231: No, take a look at the dates/times of posts. I posted evidence and fact in response to a racist-themed, hypocritical rant by someone who does it all the time. I'd suggest cringing at the evidence-free, fact-free propaganda, offered so regularly from other parties. |
While we're at it, we might as well address the issue of antiwhiteisem, which is alive and well, also. It's all at work on both sides, and sadly, for us lowlings down here on the ground, who are supposed to be naive to it, it is politically driven by the elites to achieve an agendaof separatism. |
The only interesting thing about this is the crowd of hangers-on that hit the like button on a racist rant. At least LiberalLesbo watched the movie and said something sensible. |
Hard Pass for several reasons. Reason #1: Walt Disney production Reason #2: Written by the same woman who wrote 3 awful movies: Ghostbusters 2016 (the one with talentless Melissa McCarthy and all SNL female alumnis) The Heat 2013 (the one with talentless Melissa McCarthy AGAIN!!) Snatched 2017 (with another talentless wannabe actress, Amy Schumer) Reason #3: Directed by the Black director who made the racist movie Dear White People and then made the racist Netflix series Dear White People based on his movie Dear White People, just the title scream racism. What if I made a movie or TV series titled Dear Black People? I bet it would be boycotted by Blacks everywhere before it even finish filming. Read the reviews for Netflix's Dear White People https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5707802/reviews - especially this one written by an African American IMDB member "Oh boy... Each episode gets worse and worse trying to push the constant narrative that white people are evil. I am African American and this show is insulting and racist towards people." |
The first Ghostbusters was good but the last one was so bad we bailed |
Funny thing is, when I say you're racist because you pass on a movie because the title reads "Angry Black Girl", you get angry and defensive. But a title "Dear White People" is racist, according to you. And you really can't see how hypocrite that is? |
"Dear White People", neither movie nor series is racist. How is it racist and how is even the title alone racist? And you honestly believe it when a 'reviewer' explicitly says "and I'm an Afro American"? First of all, he would call himself "black", not "Afro-American", second it's the internet! |
Disney have had 9 box office failures with the last 9 movies they released since last year which includes the recent The Little Mermaid and Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny. This can be flop #10. |
They are going for a new world record or the guiness book of records... |
Dismally only makes Movies now based on the wants and needs of it's "captive audience"....it doesn't do "Fantasy" or "Imagination" anymore |
Disney produces what Disney wants to produce. They don't need your permission ar approval. Don;t want any of it, then move on. There really is no need to repeat the same lament with every single movie. You may be tired of Disney, but we are beyond tired with your daily dose of vitriol. |
from Variety, the Hollywood movie industry trade magazine SINCE 1933, founded 1905 to cover NYC Theaters: Haunted Mansion earned $9.9 million from 3,740 locations on its opening day, a figure that includes $3.1 million in Thursday previews. The feature was projecting an opening between $25 million and $30 million, a range that some rivals predict the debut will end up falling short of. With a $150 million production budget, “Haunted Mansion” is looking to be another disappointing chapter for Disney’s summer slate. |
