A "supervolcano" is an explosive eruption. If any of the Hawaiian Islands' volcanoes went "supervolcano" there wouldn't be any people threatened by flowing lava: the entire island would be scattered as pieces of explosive ejecta. There would be no island left. The blast effects and tsunami would scour all life from the entire island chain. But, hey, at least "global warming" would be replaced by "nuclear winter" for several years... |
The Hawaiian islands would no longer exist, along with all the other small Pacific islands which would be swept away. Interesting podcast about supervolcanos here if you want vaguely-humorus but scientifically-accurate information (not sure if this works outside the UK): https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001ng4w |
Lets try that again. First the volcanoes of the Hawaiian islands are not super volcanoes. Second those volcanoes have gone off plenty of time without taking out the islands. Might want to use some actual facts when posting. As for the movie thanks goes to the uploader, been look for another disaster movie. |
@Guest-2422 Remarkably, it does appear to work outside the UK Your mileage may vary |
But, 'BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry , it’s due to rights issues. What gives |
@LDB: The movie makes the assumption, not 3133. "A supervolcano is a volcano that has had an eruption with a Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) of 8, the largest recorded value on the index" (Krakatoa was a 6). Shield volcanoes don't usually explosively erupt. If it did = no more Hawaii. |
Am I missing something ? is this a movie or historical documentary? |
Thanks, but I'm gonna wait for the sequel: Super Duper Volcano. |
Missed opportunity. Instead of Hawaii...who cares about Hawaii...they should have the volcano in Yellowstone. Maybe for Super Volcano II: The Floor Is Lava |
Another c grade movie. action is about 10 minutes if that. HARD PASS also. |
They are called B rated and are deliberately made this way. You do understand what deliberately meaning? |
calling a "C"- rated movie a deliberately made B-movie does not make any B-movie any better, no matter who is playing in it. When the play and script sucks, it sucks. When this one airs on tv, i would appriciate not to pay for it. |
Letistdirtbag, i wonder who took the time to show you how to upload torrents because watching the level of your comments i highly doubt you got that capacity. Go find some hobby instead of constantly attacking everyone. Btw, C grade is correct, maybe look it up, Mr. GrammarPolice. |
Sacrifice Smilley Virus to it then she could go in like a wreaking ball. |
Doesn't the sacrifice usually need to be a virgin? |
I read "race against the clock", which is another overused and tiring movie cliche, and that's enough for me to hard pass this. I can count on one hand the number of movies who were able to use such cliche successfully and intelligently: Back To The Future, Apollo 13, Speed, WarGames, Escape From New York. |
Your review are tiring and cliche. |
His 'reviews' are all BUT reviews. One can only review what one has watched. 'Passing hard' means no view, so not qualified to review. |
Leftistdirtbag, your comments are toxic and hateful. Piss off to twitter where you belong. |
Oddly enough, LeftistDirtBag has as much a right to express his opinion as you do and as jaxe does. Is anyone needs to "piss off" it's probably you, who, without any authority, thinks he can tell who is allowed to post and who not. Get real and behave like an adult. |
Guest 1291 doesn't have the balls to sign in and post as a MEMBER. Pussy! |
This was so bad, I don't know why I bothered. Terrible (though not the worst of all time) acting, and CGI that was frankly laughable. I'm sad I will never get that time back. |
