What's the difference between this release and the other from same encoder? Is it just overall bitrate? I can't get what "MA" stands for. Thanks for anyone who'll shed some light on this. |
MA = Movies Anywhere. It's a streaming site that usually has better quality then AMZN, NF, etc... |
MA stands for Master Audio. There are many different audio formats, AAC, AC3, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, E-AC3 etc, etc. Basically they are all good and they all carry surround sound. In my opinion the best ones are DTS which can carry up to 5 surround channels OR E-AC3 which is basically Dolby Atmos , |
@Jimbob63 I don't know mate, I think Guest-3927 is right. First of all it says in the name that this is Atmos, and in info it says A_EAC3 for audio codec. Second, in names before WEB-DL or rip is usually source, like IMAX-WEBrip, AMZN-WEBrip, NF-Webrip (that means Netflix), so by logic MA = Movies Anywhere is correct |
I think we both might be right depending on its location... If MA is in the title where it is in this one, then it's Movies Anywhere! But if it appears where it does here in John.Wick.Chapter.3.Parabellum.2019.PROPER.2160p.BluRay.REMUX.HEVC.DTS-HD.MA.TrueHD.7.1.Atmos-FGT. Then it might be Master Audio. [TGx] ??? |
Yeah, this abbreviation are sure confusing sometimes xD ..It depends on where it is placed in the title.. So, it seams that in John Wick example, you provided, MA is about audio, it means - DTS-HD Master Audio |
