If you are a fan of the series (who is who this film was supposed to target), you will get disappointed. They tried to "modernize" the story by getting rid of all the things that made it a good story. No stars tournament, no fancy armors, no friendship story between the different knights , no "flashy looking" armors.. not even the orphan friends raised by the foundation story. |
Dont waste your time looking at this. Must be top 10 worst movies i seen |
Not having seen the original that this is based on I went into the movie with no preconceptions, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The effects were very good, not over the top and definitely not tacky, this is definitely a quality production. Sean Bean and Famke Janssen deliver good solid roles (although it was difficult not to see Jean Grey/Phoenix from X-Men in the way her role was both played and the style she was shown in). All in all, definitely one of the better films I've seen for quite some time, and one I'm definitely keeping to watch again in the future. |
Apart from a good cast, but poor ratings on IMDB, I'm more interested in the fact that the director of the film is Polish creator Tomasz Bagiński (2003 nomination for Oscar for short animation Katedra). He also created main animations (cut-scenes) for The Witcher game series and Cyberpunk, and he is also one of the producers of The Witcher Netflix series. |
I used to like the anime, this kind of adaptations tend to be disappointing, but I'll give it a try. |
a10v10 its anime/manga, so expect it over the top. some nice effects, some rubbish. Decent casting, though Madison Iseman always catches my eye. |
The a is the first letter of the alphabet and the v is the twenty second. |
I tried to watch but it sucks... it's amazing how no one can make a good live action. |
Many thanks GalaxyRG. 5/5 for your quality once again. Not here to add my useless opinion... unlike most. Just going to say that A/V is pirate perfect. And CGI for what's basically a B grade is really well done. Curious to see what the future brings. |
