@Jaxe jesus christ Jaxe do you seriously think people have never heard of the concept of child labour? As always, you talk as if you're privy to knowledge that literally everybody already knows about. but sure, thanks for defining the concept of child labour for us all lol. |
yellow grenade all you ever do is post shit on jaxe comments do you have a small dick syndrome or are you just jealose that people read jaxe comments and think that your just a prick . grow up get yourself a life and fuck off out the comments section |
@LEGINDS so it was legal to be a pedo back then or how they are known in the UK 'a f*ckin nonce' ... Prince Andrew surely was born in the wrong timeline! |
NO SUBTITLES work for this movie - literally tried every single one online as of 6/23/2023. Deleted it as I'm hard of hearing and HAVE to have subs... Going to download another version to see if the subs match-up and work properly on that version... |
in post-war europe teenagers were invented even later my dad was the family breadwinner at age 12 in the early 60's. btw jaxe were is that avatar from ? I considered Starship Troopers and Sea Quest but it's on the tip of my brain and driving me bonkers. |
B movie doesn't mean "bad movie" or "lesser film", It's not a reference to how good or bad it is, it's a term leftover from the early days of cinema, and it refers to a low-budget film made to fill in as the lesser half of a double bill. It's like a-side and b-side with singles. |
Back in the day the picture house would show a 'B' movie before the main feature Two movies for the price of one Like 'Benji' (cute movie) was shown before ' ET |
Blondie in the screenshots has a fairly modern getup for the 1800s. The Costume Designer wasn't having her best day that day. |
NO! Prior to the 1950's, you were either a child or an adult. Also many children had to grow up before their time and help support their families by working including doing dangerous work like coal mining. All that ended when child labor laws were passed. Do you know what brought Teenagers into the forefront |
into the United States in the 1950's? CARS! Automobile manufacturer figure out they could sell more cars by targeting Teens. That was followed by other industries like music, clothes, movies, all marketed toward Teens. |
The term first appeared in common usage in 1944, and came from advertising lingo. |
No, in the 1800s people skipped the teen years altogether. Yes, of course there were teenagers, they just didn't call them that. Just so you know, they also had Boomers — didn't call them that either. |
@jaxe. Correct. For millennia males who hit the 12 year mark were automatically classed as adults. They where called on to fight, get married etc. That is why when you go to most venues 12yo and above pay adult prices. Sadly females were forced to marry as soon as they had their first period. Thankfully that has change |
Rubbish. A 12 yo child has always been a 12 yo child. They might have expected more of that child than they do today, but it still was a child. Heck, they even called it child labour, as we still do. |
They didn't have "Boomers" in the 1800's. Boomer is from Baby Boomer, which is a generation, like Millennial or Gen Z. Just figured since you were correcting someone else, then you should be corrected. First part correct, your point meant to drive it home, incorrect. Jus sayin... |
You quite sure there wasn't a baby boom in the 1800's? There have been sudden explosions of births after every large impact on a society. And there certainly were quite a few natural catastrophes and wars in the 19th century as well. |
@Guest-2388 Boomer = Baby Boomer = the name of a specific generation The Greatest Generation – born 1901-1924 The Silent Generation – born 1925-1945 The Baby Boomer Generation – born 1946-1964 Generation X – born 1965-1979 Millennials – born 1980-1994 Generation Z – born 1995-2012 Gen Alpha – born 2013 – 2025 |
The trailer looks poorly made also what's going on with the actor Tony Todd this guy is almost 70 but he looks the same in the last what 50 years? o.O weird af. If you see Candyman and watch the trailer of this film you'll realise that this guy's face still the same. Well I'll pass since it's not actually horror and the trailer suck |
The trailer shows how horrible this movie is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9A5vBC5QVs Reviews also say this movie is horrible 1. A Candyman knockoff with Candyman himself Tony Todd. But it is not worth watching. 2. With its cheap aesthetic, atrocious acting, insipid screenplay, and flat direction, Devilreaux is an embarrassment to all involved. 3. A tedious, anemic and lackluster B-movie that's low on scares, thrills and surprises. |
