Directed by Mark Burman and starring Aaron Eckhart, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Connor Paolo. The film follows a team of American soldiers who are sent on a mission to retrieve a classified document from a Viet Cong tunnel system. The film has received mixed reviews, with some praising the performances and action sequences, while others criticizing historical inaccuracies. The film's strengths lie in its performances and action sequences. Eckhart and Rhys Meyers give strong performances as the team's leader and tracker, respectively. Paolo is also good as the young soldier who is thrust into the middle of the action. The film's action sequences are well-choreographed and suspenseful. Especially the tunnel scenes. If you can overlook the historical shortcomings mentioned above, the film itself is actually pretty good. It held my attention from the get-go. AV is excellent, as usual. Rating the movie 7.5/10 |
Thanks for your review. The other reviews posted, that were negative, did not indicate why they did no like it - was it slow, was it bad directing, do you not like the actor, basically, nothing to go off of. |
Thanks for the review, nearly overlooked it but Vietnam + Eckhart + Rhys Meyers is a must-watch for me. |
The story is not tight. In many places it falls apart. Even the editing is infested with unnecessary cuts that's pretty obvious. Acting is decent and only the likes of Eckhart and others prevent this movie from becoming another B-Grade movie. |
Why not make series like 'The Mick' or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia if they don't have enough budget or good writers. |
Not only this movie is abysmally bad from the reviews https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8270664/ Anytime a war movie uses the plot device "can change the fate of the war" (from IMBD page ^^^), you know it's going to be cliche ridden |
