 | You might remember Ari Aster from the 2018 horror thriller Hereditary, his directing debut: his movies tend to start out well in the first and middle act and then by the third act, it becomes overlong and finishes with a fizzle instead of a sizzle. At 179 minutes, this is the same as his only other feature films: Hereditary (2 hours and 7 minutes) and Midsommar (2 hours and 28 minutes): overlong. | Hereditary is held up as a masterpiece, like we are not allowed to criticize it  but it is not, watchable enough though. I agree that it fizzles towards the end, and some really annoying bad acting from the young girl towards the end too  |
