Totally believable. Ten-year girl who is afraid of dog sized dinosaurs takes on a fully grown T Rex, to save the day. If you are going to comment at least watch it. It is Earth, says so in the opening sequence and also explains that the ship that crashes is from an advanced space travelling civilization from outside our galaxy. Albeit not advanced to have anti meteor collision hardware. |
'Totally believable' It says at the very end of the end credits 'This motion picture is a work of fiction' but who would have thought |
This is Sam Raimi produced film. The skinny nut case in the old Herculease series. So it was bound to have a bit of slapstick unbelievability to it. Its a lower budget kind of thing. Perfect reality takes more money and care. But Aliens look human because they seeded earth with human DNA. Nobody posted that. |
The final chapter of 2001: Space Odyssey (the book) has the exact same aliens landing back on Earth from the future plot Coincidence But at least the onboard computer wasn't called 'HAL' |
@Guest-1059 Ted Raimi was actor in Hercules tv series, also in Xena, did also act in Crimewave, a movie directed by…..Sam Raimi |
@Sunflower, Yup, I got them mixed up. But it was an ok film. A fleshing out of how humans may have got started on earth. All the alien bodies left behind. Different than how Prometheus put it. But I may not watch it again like I would Avatar. |
Sorry. After watching. It's a boring and rubbish movie. We saw it before in "1000 After Earth". This time we have a girl instead of a boy, and dinosaurs instead of future monsters. The plot is poor. IMO 3/10. Waste of time. |
This is waaaaaaaaaaaay better than 'After Earth:1000' 'After Earth:1000' (4.8 over on IMDB ) makes 'Battleship: Galactica' lk like a cinematic masterpiece Besides, 'After Earth:1000' has Will Smith in it; Adam Driver is a waaaaaaaaaaay better actor |
As always, your uploads are greatly appreciated. Thanks GalaxyRG. ~KT3030 |
Thanks for this Been itching to see this since seeing a poster on the New York Subway |
useless boring movie. Watched it once. will never watch it again. 5/10 and I'm being nice here. |
This is such a strange movie. It allegedly takes place 'before the advent of man', yet not only are they humanoid (which can be overlooked) but they wear the same clothes and pretty much have all the same 'human' problems. Then they seem to be able to cross galaxies yet don't have ship with deep space radar (to detect asteroids until impact is seconds away). And there are no shields whatsoever. If humans created a spaceship TODAY they would at the very least create some sort of deflector mechanism or have working warning systems). Space is not EMPTY. |
As NASA has a rocket going to the moon again soon, maybe you should tell them what you just said. Seems they are behind the times in regard to space travel. |
Computer voice: 'UNEXPECTED meteor activity detected' So it was not something the boffins at Space Center had envisaged beforehand and therefore no countermeasures were programmed into the system In fact, the computer woke Mills to take manual control |
Worth watching. better than usual rubbish on here lately. good movie 7/10 |
Take Armageddon (1998) and throw in a dash of Jurassic Park and then blend thoroughly for 3o seconds. Not an awful B flick but not good enough to make it into the big leagues. As one reviewer commented, it's a decent popcorn flick - not bad for a Saturday night of mindless fun. Entertaining enough but sketchy CGI lets it down and it's a bit too corny and melodramatic to be taken seriously. Thanks to GalaxyRG and TGx for sharing it. I'll watch anything with dinosaurs. Or spaceships. Combine them both into one movie and I'm powerless. |
