I would bet the bank that those whining about this movie are closeted homosexuals. |
It will be extremely difficult to have a movie the calibre of Brokeback Mountain grace our screens again. That was an amazing love story by any stretch.... gay, straight or otherwise .. superb acting with the great Aussie actor.. Heath ledger |
No darcman, you're not "bad" for not liking gay movies, you're wrong for not tolerating the very existence of gay movies. You want them put away in a separate part of this website, in a ghetto as it were. Rings a bell? |
What is wrong with having a gay movie section? I would be willing to bet 99+% of straights are not interested in gay movies. Its like gay bars, I dont go to gay bars. Why would I, I am not gay. I just dont like gay movies and I never will. |
The comparison with gay bars is wrong. Gays to such a bar to meet other gays. You and I will not meet anyone in a gay section of a pirate website. We go there for the same reason as you, to find movies, not other gays. I don't like westerns or (surprise, surprise) musicals, but I don't ask for a separate section. |
Gotta love the "tough as nails" straight mentality that can't even be handled being told no. Just move on you sad pathetic people. |
I appreciate the fact that you, Mike, are the ONLY ONE who every once in a while has the decency to at least respond, albeit not always sincere. Rather than a reply, however, I would appreciate when staff at least would reflect on what people tell you. And that has not been visible in any way in the last year and a half. |
Wow, a totally new idea, nobody thought of a plot like this never in the last 3 years. Pass, thanks. |
Wow, I have been waiting for this (roll eyes) lol...This would be a hard NO TG should have a gay section. Then when you are interested you can enter. For me these movies are like spam x 1000 (at best) |
Or you could skip these movies. Try it, it works wonderfully well. |
That gay section of yours, should that also include movies with actors who are gay, but play a straight role? And actors who cross dress? What about movies with actors that didn't come out yet? Should we ask for birth certificates just to make sure they were what they are now? |
It could be right next to the straight section so LGBQTI+ people aren't constantly subjected to hetero-normative stereotypes like you! |
I am hard skipping this and always will. Why would straightophobes object to having there own section??? Me and all the other labeled homophobes can visit the normal section and gays or whatever can visit the alphabet section. Alphabet people will never be happy, there will always be some new issue to complain about. |
Funny thing is, I never heard any lgbtqia+ complain about movies with strictly binary/cisgender/straight people. They never asked for an exclusive section. Should set you thinking, but it won't, will it? Feel free to skip, but why do you feel the need to let everyone know? |
The Alphabet people are a relatively small minority that want to dictate policy for everyone...thats why the small minority should have their own section. I am not saying get rid of Alphabet movies, just put it in a section where only like minded people have any interest. |
You must be very insecure in yourself to go out of the way to make uncalled-for homophobic comments. Or are you just a bully who can't stop demeaning gays? |
It sounds like darcman wants to send us back to the closet. Shame on you! |
darcman said, "Me and all the other labeled homophobes can visit the normal section" And therein lies the reveal, darcboy and the like haven't figured out that loving people, regardless of gender, is the normal state of affairs, and having an irrational dislike, based on simple belief--rather than actual evidence--is the real abnormality. You've been here on your anti-queer hobby horse before little dman, and it really is rather sad and pathetic. As for the movie? I thought it was pretty lacklustre really. Nothing special in terms of narrative or acting. A/V is great as ever--thank you for your hard work GalaxyRG much appreciated--but otherwise, it's not a very good movie. Fight the good fight guyz & gals, but I wish this was better material for defending. |
Meh I don't care either way the movie sucks. The sphincter loosening gayness isn't what dragged it down. |
OK OK I am bad for not likeing gay movies...maybe if you call me some names or label me I will like gay movies. There really should be a gay movie section, then most people who arent interested in gay themed movies can avoid it. Having a gay movie section would be great for gays. |
What is wrong with me? Why do I keep downvoting when I mean UP?? I'm so sorry |
Question, you claim "The Alphabet people are a relatively small minority that want to dictate policy for everyone". What policy exactly do lgbtqia+ dictate? All we ask is for you to accept us for who and what we are. And when that is asking for too much, for tolerance. The very least a human being can ask for. |
speaking as a gay 54 year old -people have accepted us - it was a life threatening thing to be know as gay when i was young but not any more - we are accepted - people just dont want our lifestyle shoved down their throats every other day and i dont blame them - we are less than 2% of pop (minus the trendy wantabees ) |
So when it's a larger part of society it's okay to "shove your lifestyle down someone's throat"? What number is the tipping point? Does lgbtqia+ "shove their lifestyle down your throat" or do they just want to be who they are? And yet you say people have accepted us? You, sir, are not gay. Shame on you for trolling. |
Guest-3614 >> Your numbers are massively underestimated. Latest research and surveys say between 7-10% reporting with another estimated 10-15% unwilling to report because of actual, or fear of, discrimination; so much for being "accepted". As for how "accepted" we are... take a look at some of the comments here. |
Even if it were just one person. Is it justifiable to deny that one person to be who he/she/they is? This is not a matter of math, it's a matter of humanity. |
Looks like a GM Holden station wagon I used to own about thirty years ago. Same model, same colour. I knew I should have had it firebombed rather than leaving it with my ex wife. |
It sure does look like a Holden. Late 70's or early 80's I think. |
I would bet the bank that the vast majority of those claiming a hard pass on this movie are closeted homosexuals. |
