Agree that the title is too nondescript. But after checking online, it is a well reviewed drama about sexual grooming that premiered at sundance 2022. |
All movies are made to adhere to what society considers 'acceptable'. Germans in WW2 movies are horrible, American's are good. blah, blah. So predictable. Seriously, why not make a movie like this, with an older guy and younger girl, where the relationship is actually good? Why is it the older guy always has an agenda, is always a manipulator, etc, etc. Look at Dicaprio and how people judge him because of the age difference, yet I never heard a single one of his girlfiends complaining. Let's make movies that challenge the stereotypes instead of just repeating the same sh%t |
Well, it's obvious you haven't seen this one. The relationship isn't "good", the man has an agenda and is a manipulator. But other than that, yes, movies that defy stereotypes are certainly welcome. |
Woman are just as bad as men (if not worse) as portrayed in this movie One of the teenage boys remarked that he been with a 40-year-old woman And she sucked because 'women stretch out' as they get older |
This is a well-played out drama But for some (unknown reason) we were expecting horror towards the end We were sure the 'old dude' was going to turn into a vampire Don't know what gave us that idea |
So, it is okay to bash conservatives but mention the left and your comment is deleted. |
And yet here it is, your comment mentioning the left. Now where are the posts bashing conservatives? |
It was quite funny watching the teenagers describe 30-year-olds as 'geriatric' 40-year-olds were talked about like mummified corpses Funny how age tend to be 'relative' |
So what made you think the whole world needed to know this? |
You might understand the title when you saw the movie. It's a double entendre. |
if i was an actor i would never accept a role like that. the guy must have been desperate. |
Yeah well, Tom Hanks isn't in a position to pick and choose his roles Beggars can't be choosers 'n' all that |
Actors live under the assumption that the audience can discern what is fiction. |
Plenty of evidence around here that a large part of the audience can't. |
Appears this is a remake of the exact same movie from 2018 Why, oh, why would you remake a 5 year-old movie |
Well that 2018 was a Short & not a movie. It was just 15 min. This one is 1hr 50min. Looks to be very well done. |
When I was 30, I married a girl who was 19. Man, what a mistake that was! I divorced her within two months! |
Great Film. Not for the faint of heart. A/10 V/10. Have to admit all through the film I kept thinking the main character reminded me a lot of a Matt Gaetz, with a good portion of Harvey Weinstein & Jeffrey Epstein thrown in for good measure. Then again, there are so many outwardly "conservative" men who also come to mind when thinking about narcissistic, misogynistic sexual & emotional abusers/predators. |
You're absolutely right! I can think of a lot of public figures who claim to be "conservatives" and even "Christians" who turn out to be some of the worst offenders of all. Meanwhile, they worry about outlawing "Drag Shows" while refusing to pass gun reform laws to help quell almost daily mass shootings. |
In real life he is 40 & she is 24. So not that bad really. |
