#6123: I think active people come to the comment section with two main goals, 1) To express themselves and say their piece 2) To try to silence others perceived as offenders. My advice if you need to say something and often get censored is: don't be a guest, make an account, engage enough to be recognized, and try to be consistent yourself, so others can get an idea of what to expect from you. Some people just want to say thanks, some people want to complain about wokeness and warn others, some people want to discuss politics, left and right, some want to critic the film quality from different angles and with different standards. I try to be funny as much as I can (with a very limited success) Once people get to know you, you get more freedom to speak your mind. The same comment can sound very different depending who says it. A moderator can only read the words, but the intent behind can only be guessed. Was it meant to hurt? Was it a poor attempt of a joke? I'm glad I don't have to decide. My advice if you want to silence the offenders is: Just don't, freedom of expression is always a bit messy, and is quickly getting scarce in the world. Also, a tiny fraction of users might want to read the comment I don't like, the best thing is not to read, or just ignore what doesn't appeal to me. Live and let live. I hope this helps, and I hope you can enjoy this site as much as possible... just as I do. |
Yeah, CaptDesko, I agree with you 100%. Much of the time, the written word can "sound" different than its intended tone. However, sometimes the words can be so easily interpreted as toxic that the realization is that the quote was only meant to ridicule someone, as what happens to jaxe all the time. Sad, really. |
When I saw the cast I thought it was a 'classic movie' ! 😂😂 Haven't seen Reid and Lamas for a while ! |
Reid has been a regular in the Sharknado series. I haven't seen Lorenzo Lamas since the 1990's when he was on that TV series Renegade (1992-1996) with Kathleen Kinmont who was his real life wife until 1993 when they divorced. |
I think I heard they divorced because she was physically abusive. (And maybe he was softer and gentler in real life than the character he played) |
They got divorced because Lamas started dating another actress who was a recurring guest star on the series: Shauna Sand, 1996 Playboy Playmate. |
an 80's tv movie found in the bargin bin in asda. i guess, at least it keeps them off the streets |
I thought to myself , well self I mean how bad could it realy be? And then I scrolled down and saw Tito Ortiz is in this masterpiece. Seems it is even worse than feared. |
I dont care much for Eric roberts myself how ever, Eric Roberts makes bank (9 million as of 2023) pumping out cheap movies by the numbers. Dont under estimate how much money eric roberts has made and he is doing what he likes keeping busy. Although his career dipped after his initial success during the late 70s and early 80s, Roberts eventually became known as one of the hardest-working actors in Hollywood, amassing well over 600 credits over four decades in the industry. During the 90s, he appeared in "The Specialist." From the 2000s onwards, he booked roles in films such as "National Security," "The Dark Knight," "The Expendables," and "The Institute." During his career, he has also appeared in television series like "Less Than Perfect," "Heroes," "The Young and the Restless," "Saved by the Light," "Suits," and "Doctor Who." What have you done? |
So he has ghosts of girls he murdered and the law after him? So what, big deal. He should try living MY life before he complains. |
OK weve seen offerings by 3 washed up has beens famous because of one breakout film and a new addition known for his tv role talk about digging up old bones |
Eric Roberts and Lorenzo Lamas? Stay away. Those two "actors" tell me everything that I need to know about the movie. |
Please, the history of the actors is wonderful, but what about the quality of the movie? If it's as bad as I think it will be, are there hot babes with their clothes off? |
Lorenzo Lamas.....really? At least Eric Roberts has some decent movie cred.......but Lorenzo Lamas |
To quote South Park: "No one gives a s**t about Eric Roberts!" |
Still can't believe Eric is Julia's brother. You'd think he would also have a stellar movie career. Maybe he should had followed Julia's lead and played a prostitute to become famous and then stick his chest out like she did in Erin Brockovich to earn a Best Actress Oscar. |
