Awful movie. An insult to the Norwegian, French, British and Allied soldiers and the Norwegian population and partisans who died in Norvik. |
No one died in Norvik. The ones who did loose their lives around Narvik may very well consider that an insult. |
Insult because of historical inaccuracy, or, insult because it's a poorly made movie? |
Insult because he doesn't even know where the battle took place. |
Bad dubbing, bad screenplay, bad acting, bad directing. The films not about Narvik: Hitlers first defeat. The films about a couple and their kid who happened to be living in Narvik at the same time Hilter met his first major defeat, in situ. Yes, there are Nazis and there are a couple of bombs dropped and scenes of a few ships at sea and a few bullets flying, but only superficially. |
Thanks for your comments straight from the hip good stuff I wont waist my time on this. |
I didnt particularly like it. Characters where not interresting, story was stale. You couldnt care less about the characters. I found myself not giving a crap if the main character died or if her child died. Actors where placed there for their fame, rather than fitting to their roles. (Im looking at you Henrik Mestad) If you want to watch a WW2 film related to the Norwegian occupation. I would recommend: The King's Choice/Kongens Nei (2016) (My personal favorite and very historically accurate) Gold Run/Gulltransporten (2022). Gold Run wasnt that exciting, took some creative liberties, but i found the mostly unkown story to be interresting . Max Manus: Man of War/Max Manus (2008). This movie is popular in Norway, i never got the high praise. But others liked it |
Not quite as good as 'Dunkirk', '1917', 'Gallipoli', 'All Quiet on the Western Front', 'Come and See' By a long chalk |
