Wow Wasn't expecting this so soon And just in time for Christmas too Many thnx TxG |
Horrible movie tho. Imdb has caught up too people find it boring |
You really depend on Imdb of all things 💀.. Also it isn't a horrible film. Ive seen opinions across the internet & nobody thinks that. |
Go read the bad reviews: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11564570/reviews?sort=userRating&dir=asc&ratingFilter=0 More social commentary and agenda by director Rian Johnson who also ruined Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi with the same thing and there is the token casting, folks cast for their skin color and not for their acting ability and resume. Serena Williams, Janelle Monáe, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. They are not actor and actresses. They are there to fill the affirmative action quota and to be used as race plot devices so director Johnson can have subplots about racial injustices. Just because one can be put in front of a camera and their motion and speech captured on film and video, it does not make them an actor or actress. |
I so appreciate your reviews and commentary, reading the unrealistic and overly positive comments all the time is pretty obnoxious. I appreciate the heads up on the subtle and not so subtle wokeism that gets buried into scripts and plots and worse injected by the hollywoke SJW's who are more about pushing agendas THX |
So you didn't watch the movie? Serena Williams is not even in the movie as an actress, but as herself, but how would you know? You want to know who's the worst actor in this movie? Ethat Hawke, not token casted btw, with his horrible and annoying fake Southern accent. But, again, how would you know? |
You are spot on. And I always look forward to your reviews. |
LOL Serena and Kareem play themselves for 30 seconds each and Janelle is an actor and really quite good. Like all your rants, it's simply not based in reality. Just because one can be put in front of a message board and their ideas and speech captured in text and words, it does not make them an intellect or correct. |
Thought Serena Williams was a tennis player Surely not the same 'Serena Williams', Shirley |
At least Phoebe Waller-Bridges didn't have a hand in this like how she single-handedly ruined Daniel Craig's last Bond movie |
Yes, THAT Serena Williams and guess what, she is Serena Williams in this movie, a tennis player. Satisfied, Shirley? |
What "social commentary and agenda" could you see in this movie? Really, I tried and I tried, but there is literally nothing at all that can even remotely be called "social commentary", not to mention an "agenda". Seems to me, the only one pushing an agenda then is you. Again. |
Your reviews are so good, jaxe. I always love the intelligence and wisdom someone has to have to select those reviews as you do. Forget the hateful comments by others who say you only copy the worst comments because they align with your agenda. Kisses from jaxe, no, I mean I'm not jaxe. Seriously guys, I'm not jaxe. |
The man doesn't understand sarcasm. So don't tease him. |
Ofc the bad reviews will say that lol.. Those ppl wouldn't want to focus on plot & just nitpick it to death. Let's read the actual proper instead of trying manipulate others. |
From the lettering on the poster I thought this was another Disney movie, but when I read the positive comments, I knew it couldn't be. |
If you haven't already, you should probably check as well: 'Knives Out' |
For God sakes the best thing people can say about this film is that it provoked a bunch of terrible unrelated information and excuses for people to show each other how smart they are..... I actually enjoyed this movie, found it entertaining |
I liked to see Yo-Yo Ma speaking about Bach fugues, and got a bit worried with some art destruction (won't spoil) Especially now that throwing soup to paintings is a trend. |
@CaptDesko We don't like wanton destruction either, even in movies but was the art really destroyed or was there some trickery going on |
I enjoyed this, but I still find all Rian Johnson does to be somewhat childish. This is a whodunnit for people who have never seen the real thing, it's what dumb/immature people think it's a smart, sophisticated movie. |
IMDB is showing 170 user reviews with a score of 7.9. But most of those look to be low scorers. Thanks for the upload, and guess i will have to judge for myself. |
You always have to judge for yourself. No one can tell you to like Haggis or a Fiat Multipla, so why would it be different with movies? |
PLOT SPOILER Without giving too much away apparently the titular 'Glass Onion' is a glass building shaped like an onion, hence 'Glass Onion' |
The 'Glass Onion' is also the liquor house where the most of the protagonists first met |
Thanks for sharing this, appreciated. My family and I watched it, was entertained. Also Madelyn Cline, "Whiskey" is beautiful |
The ending is only fit for children. Glad it ended the way it did. Glad Benoit's character was mellowed and reduced so Helen's could prevail - the only way the storyline could accomplish anything. Well, all there is left to say is, "quotas" met. |
What's "quotas" lmao? Now Rian Johnson can't even write the story he wants? Literally his world let him tell the story he wants to tell. |
