Paul Mescal’s beautiful performance in this wholly beguiling father-daughter drama consolidates his position as one of the most gifted actors of his generation. Managing an uncannily precise evocation of holidays in the Turkish Riviera at the turn of the millennium, it’s a stunning debut from writer-director Charlotte Wells. |
Ummmmm what? Can you say that any simpler in plain english? |

@ Moxie The only time we we laughed was when Calum and Sophie were paying for something like getting their Polaroid © ™ ® photo taken by one of those dudes who prey on tourist "How much" "50 million liras*" *equivalent to $1 Brought back the memories it did |
Made by A24, BBC Films, Screen Scotchland and funded by 'The National Lottery' this was very good Almost hypnotic A mesmerising watch Grandma was in tears at the end There was a sense of foreboding throughout when the eerie music was playing Kept think something bad was going to happen To Callum We were glad that subtitles were included since the two main characters had very thick Scotch accents Saying that they were beautiful to listen to, especially Sophie, even though we needed an interpreter half the time The ending was kind of strange, couldn't quite figure it out maybe you weren't meant to Thnx TxG |
