I had been waiting for your comment. But do you know if this will not be english? It seems to release in 30 countries today |
Nope, it is in Norwegian Subtitles included |
@Guest-5914: I watch 100s of foreign movies in foreign language with English subtitles each year. 2/3 of the foreign movies I seen are better than 95% of Hollywood made movies. |
Appears the woke stuff is yet to pervade Europe. By woke, I mean casting on basis of merit or story than a quota to fill. |
It was alright. But it was kinda silly. Only King Kong could get away with looking at an ant and suddenly having feelings. Clearly this was unoriginal King Kongish. I had this feeling that the cast was busting out laughing all thru the shooting. |
English subs are descriptive ones (ie, 'music intensifies' 'stones clattering' etc) which are quite distracting. |
Norwegian films in recent years are catching up to Hollywood. Many of their films, especially the disaster films are more than just watchable. |
This looks watchable.. very, very watchable. Will definitely give this a try. |
Check his movie The Wave https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3616916/ A great disaster film. Much superior to any $200 million disaster films Hollywood makes and it has a budget of only $6.3 million |
Well this is time I'll never get back. Don't waste your time hoping this will get better as the movie goes on because it doesn't. The dub is not too bad but that's about the only positive I see. I'll give it a 1/10 for some of the cool camera shots and the dub and that's being generous. |
An anti-Christian King Kong meets Jurassic Park film. It's delightful! |
Is this related to the "Troll Hunter" movie I saw years ago? I think it was from Finland or Sweden. |
Thank you MissHeard - No, Troll on Netflix is not Troll Hunter 2 and the 2022 movie is not a sequel or connected to Troll Hunter. The creatures that feature in both movies are inspired by Norse legend and a wealth of movies have imaginatively explored the mythology that surrounds them |
