Don't touch the classics. I'll be making sure everyone I know avoids this dumpster fire. |
I am with you 110%. What is next? Remake of Casablanca? It's A Wonderful Life, the Woke Version? |
Little Women, Dune, The Parent Trap, Emma, Suspiria, The Beguiled, The Departed, A Star is Born, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Thing. Just a few remakes that are considered to be better than the original. So yeah. |
Guest-4244: the remake/reboots of Suspiria, Emma, Dune, A Star Is Born, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Parent Trap, Emma are not better than the original. |
@Guest-4244 - I"m not sure what you're smoking, but I want it. This is a sequel, not a reboot. |
It wasn't Guest-4244 who started talking about remakes. It's not his smoke you crave. |
Why would you want to ruin one of the best Christmas movies ever made with a made for TV sequel? This is from HBO Max. It will be like Lifetime or Netflix or Hallmark making a sequel to It's A Wonderful Life! I did a quick Google search and the reviews headlines: unnecessary, half baked, forgettable. |
Let's not forget they already ruined it with sequels before. My Summer Story (1994): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110168/ and A Christmas Story 2 (2012): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2281069/ The thing that makes this exciting is the return of original cast members, but it sounds like it's been watered down for 2022. |
This movie is an atrocity, an abomination, to the original, whether it's good or not ... and reviews indicate it's not! Why would anyone do this and think it's a good idea? Director Clay Kaytis and everyone else involved need their tongues stuck to an icy pole for a few days! |
I am with you 110%. What is next? Remake of Casablanca? |
Who voted this comment down? I thought it was pretty freakin' funny! You idiots have no sense of humor! |
@Guest-2164: No, it's not as "simple as that." The point is that you should NEVER mess with the classics! Capiche? |
Yes, it's as simple as that. When no one watches, they will never mess with the classics again. When enough people do watch, there obviously is a market for it, so why wouldn't they mess with the classics? And who are you to decide what others get to see? |
