After finishing this one, I must admit, it was more entertaining and well produced than I initially thought. The film has good acting, excellent cinematography, a lovely fitting soundtrack, and some brutal gore. The plot isn't anything really new, but it's done fairly well. A decent watch, If you enjoy slasher movies with a side of mystery set in the crazy influencer days we currently live in; pick this one up and grab a bowl of popcorn to munch on while you're at it! Another excellent review tos... I was debating whether I should download as I have a few movies lined up... You pushed me over the edge.. Well done!! |
Great Aussie flick...It has all the ingredients of an epic Shudder Film... A few twists and turns... All good.. |
Thank you so much for the upload 🙏🏼💗 truly appreciated! I've been waiting ages for this movie! Only good reviews! And I've finally watched it and I agreeee! Highly recommend the description doesn't give the film justice!! 🙌🏼😁 |
Thank you so much for your review below!:) Very much appreciated!:) Had a chance to watch a bit! Will watch the movie in it's entirety now!:) |
Wanted to give a huge thank you very much to PsychoLilThing for not just taking the time to watch the movie, but to review it & tbh I couldn't help but want to see the movie after her review of "Sissy" from beginning to end!:) I'm grateful she took the time to review the movie, bc we have so few reviews, as there are far to many conjectures off of "screenshots", trailers, or perhaps even a theme, & will go so far as to say that's just "speculation". Often times it's enough to give us a good idea where the movie is headed, but we get very few on here that take the time to review the movies! Want to give a giant thank you, as I know she was waiting for "Sissy" to come out, and am glad she did!:) I took the time to see what she wrote, and her enthusiasm over the movie, made me want to continue where I left off, after 15 minutes into the movie, and am glad I did!:) First off, "Sissy" is a movie that has more than 2-3 genre's, so I honestly didn't know what to expect, so in the first 15 minutes, when I was just reviewing the Torrent portion A/V=10/10...Awesome btw...5 stars as shown above!:). often times, there are movies such as "Sissy" that you have no idea where the "story"/plot is headed to begin with, especially when they spring various theme's/genre's in the movie!:) In fact, as I was watching, I kept guessing wrong in parts where I thought I should be able to get some of the plot parts right (and I don't want to add any spoilers), but was taken aback bc it was much better than I anticipated having just seen the Torrent portion (15 minutes in). When the plot does unfold, my jaw dropped as I didn't see some of these other genres coming as I expected they would, but was definitely glad to be patient enough to wait, and the movie moved at a good pace all the way through!:) Because I don't get a chance to see such excellent movies, with multi-faceted genres, I rated it a M=7.5!:) It's definitely a watch & don't want to say it's similar but along the lines of "Fresh", for example. Think "Sissy" does build more of a story around it, though!:) Thanks again to PsychoLilThing, & look forward to some her other reviews in the future!:) Have a great rest of the weekend everyone & enjoy "Sissy"!:) |
Thanks for the share/ no shortage of opinions on this one and most others/ some folks are not really here for content but they are chefs. They enjoy stirring the pot and flaming just to get a rise like its a badge of honor to be down voted the most. I pay no attention to guest comments as if you can take the time to post you can take the 15 seconds to register/ Some people here have never admitted they like a single film/but they sure hate a lot of them/ so haters what do you like/ what are so good they get your stamp of approval/you know who you are. Why a remote cabin? Cause it works |
Spending 15 seconds to register does not make one more intelligent. All that does is give you a screen name instead of an ever changing number. Wow. You do know who first came with that remote cabin comment? A member. Fifteen seconds well spent. |
It's actually far from a cabin if you watch! And this is actually a really great movie I highly recommend I've been waiting for this one its been winning awards at festivals |
Winning awards at festivals aka horrible crap movie. PsychoLilThing Good you like it but leave (even Jaxe) personal opinion be and don't force yours upon anyone, this seems to be the new way of being in the west 'my opinion is truth and fact' NOPE, it's just one individual opinion, i like green you like blue.. |
Actually Mr nameless "Guest-3628" I didn't say my opinion was the correct one at all.. Don't grasp at straws and think you did something... The film obviously isn't for everyone but my point is don't rule out a FILM just because of a description or whatever... Have a great day, Go wash your FEET |
You should NEVER feel bullied or intimidated into dissing a movie that you actually enjoyed |
PsychoLilThing you know he just reviews and never watches. |
I wouldn't call that even reviewing. It's asking provocative questions. |
Still waiting on that "Wholly original" screenplay of your Jaxe.....I mean at this point of you calling every movie trope out I'd love to see what you come up with. |
are there any cabins that arent remote? Do serial killers specifically target remote cabins, thereby those that inhabit them. I here they are doing another Strangers movie, now wondering if it takes place in a remote cabin? An out of the way trailer park? An abandoned inner city tenement or maybe a London high rise.... |
