Thank you very much TGx for "Other Monsters". I decided to take a chance on it, as I had made it through the Torrent portion anyway, but first a thank you to all for all the excellent content this week & everybody at the site's concerted effort to bring us films & shows, etc., right away, it's much appreciated!:) That covers everyone from the encoders to the mods, and to the execs, as well as all the volunteers, can't say enough about the hard work that you put in to each week that doesn't go unnoticed & with a huge thank you, I know I speak for many of us here from guests to members alike!:) "Other Monsters" the Torrent no surprise, A/V=10/10=which as you can see above I gave it 5 stars!:) With Respect to the movie, I thought of only watching the torrent about 15 minutes & then seeing how it "goes", per se. I won't say it was the greatest movie in the planet by far, but it did hold my attention primarily bc the genre was started, a "Crime", "Thriller". In many ways it became a revenge crime thriller but the pace of the movie could have been picked up a bit, bc it was slow in parts, and disjointed imho, but the acting was fair, and I'll give it a M=4.5-5, which is perhaps being very generous! I mean overall the theme was good, and enjoyed the script & of course it was recycled from other movies that are much better out there, but much better than watching Sharknado 58, & would rather see a revenge thriller than some obvious slasher movie, where there's 4 kills and one get's away. Comparing to the pandemic movies, let's see they've ONLY made 268 in 3 years & more come out each week! I can't wait for the next one, yeah, right! To you dipsticks that say "you don't have to watch", they don't have to make them too! Why? Some of us, just like 9/11, have lost people in those tragedies & don't want to be reminded of them with another one, even if we don't watch the darn movie! It doesn't take someone with an IQ of -10 to figure that one out! Yeah, we won't look at the screen to see what other movies are available either, ok....whatever? Get a clue! Guest and Member # X...:) Because your point is diminished and The point I just made matters!:) Have a great weekend everyone!:) RT! |
Thank you again for the positives and negatives and again an actual review rather thatn you regulars who sumise what they think it maybe like, you know who you are ;) |
Shorten up the run-on sentences and slice it down to @REAPER size. Please. Reminiscent of one of my sons with ADHD ... he, too, drones on and on. Less is more: keep it simple. |
Hey, now, don't be dumping on "Sharknado"! Those are some of the best movies ever made! The cinematic experience of every one is just incredible! |
You probably shouldnt share your opinion of movies because your taste is god awful and your ramblings remind me of why the young generation wont read anything longer than a tweet. |
Alexandra Holden: a character actress whose 26 years acting career peaked in 2000 with her biggest role: a 5 episodes guest star as University professor Ross Geller's student and girlfriend in Friends with her Dad being played by Bruce Willis. She has done nothing worthwhile in the past 22 years since. |
Thanks as always my friend @Jaxe, know you have a ton of info/knowledge readily available, bc you're just genius!:) Btw -That company "Gravitas..." - Do they ever make any films worth watching? Lol ;) I'm not dumping on the company, just can't recall any over the years, come to think of it? ;) |
Guest - 4068...I was only asking @Jaxe, bc it came to mind. If he comes back & names some movies that were good, then I'd be good! I just couldn't think of any tbh with ya' let's say recently (in the last 6 months), that I could remember, that were good movies...but I didn't imply I researched the company? Thx RT!:) |
I beg to differ jaxe I recall her in a 'Lifetime' movie She played the victim of a 'stalker' Watched it on TV one weekday afternoon Was quite good |
@Guest-1467: That entire cast of Friends is each one getting $20 millions PER YEAR from the Friends residuals. Every time an episode of Friends is broadcast somewhere in the world, they get a check. |
Any comment on the movie? Anything at all? Yes, Friends did well. Because you all though you needed to watch it and that's why all of Rupert Murdoch's networks keep repeating the show until even you can't bear it anymore. You made them millionaires for starring in a weak and predictable comedy, no one else. |
Fun factoid: Right at this moment on some radio station somewhere in the world the Beatles 'Yesterday' is playing And I would venture that right at this moment on some TV channel somewhere in the world an episode of 'Friends' is playing |
Michael Caine was once asked his opinion on his movie "Beyond the Poseidon Adventure".....He said, "By all accounts the movie is absolutely terrible - but it did by me a beautiful house". I'm sure that Alexandra Holden is really cut up by your assessment of her 26yr acting career...... |
well first off it was 5 shows of friends and she was in over 50 movies and shows in her life. |
This is a remainder: Don't take your babies to the cinema, they cry all the time and people want to watch a movie. |
Scanned through it, looks like a B-movie. May watch it later, IDK. |
