| Thank you for a great upload GalaxyRG ; excellent A/V as always. The movie is set mostly in the 30s and 40s in rural Hopewell, Georgia. It focuses on the (on/off) love of a young white woman and a black man, but includes a murder mystery, mixed with highly emotional issues, including the kind of vicious, irrational, racial hatred associated with the region, the period, and the incurably ignorant… and, of course, this is still highly relevant today. The story is both engaging and tragic. The acting is excellent, and Tyler Perry does an amazing job — for a change. I haven’t been a fan of Tyler Perry until now — much like Spike Lee, who has criticized him heavily in the past. Lee's remarks launched a pretty high profile feud between the two, so, I’m afraid, saying that they’re similar is about as wrong as you usually are Mr. J. Lastly, the soundtrack is the kind of bonus that fans of southern blues (like me) are going to love big time. This is a triumph of a movie, and worth anybody’s time and bandwidth. Thanks again GalaxyRG love you to bits   |

| Spot on about Spike Lee and Tyler Perry, whom Ive never been a fan of either. I too appreciated the soundtrack, but then i also collect vintage turntables and have an extensive vinyl collection that has an emphasis on Southern Blues - so thanks! I believe Mr/Ms J. has passed their use by date. |
