It's a nice hair stile. many guys have even shorter hair. It' practical too. (just bad in cold weather, the neck gets cold ) |
Perhaps hairstyle wasn't cute 20 years ago, it was 60 years ago (e.g. Audrey Hepburn). About time for a revival, I would say. |
More talk on a haircut than on the movie. And they really ask for 'reviews'? |
It’s a family movie, Disney makes family movies. Did so from the very beginning and will continue to do so as long as there will be families. Sure, you have outgrown such movies. You used to love these movies when you were younger, but they are silly now, all mushy, too many songs and always the same (but hey, so are horrors, detectives, thrillers and superhero saves the world kind of movies.) And you will continue to dislike these movies until you have kids. Then you will love them again, because your kids love them and you can be child with them again. Until they outgrow the movies and you’ll both unite in hating them. But with a bit of luck you’ll have grandchildren and, sure enough, you’ll rekindle a little spark of when you used to be young. Every movie is made for the audience it is intended for. That’s why all, well, most movies in a genre are yet another variation on that same theme. You have grown tired of them, or maybe not (yet), but a new generation comes along and they haven’t seen them all. So to them, this theme is new and not worn out yet. You’re over it? Great, move on and leave room for those who are yet to discover the joy of the genre. And that’s also why reviews mean so very little. Where is the reviewer in the process of knowing movies? Is he new to the genre or has he already seen it all? Has he grown tired of them yet or is he still thrilled by them? Every review, professional or amateur, says more about the reviewer than about the movie. You want to know whether a movie is worth watching? Watch it and you’ll know. No one else can tell you what you will like and what not. It’s like looking at the menu of a new restaurant. Will you like what the menu says? Try it and you’ll know. Didn’t like it? Don’t order it again. Did like it? Come back soon. But your friend is not able to tell you whether you will love it, so how can a stranger? |
Please don't tire yourself out by sitting still and only moving your eyes sideways a little bit. Telling me that you didn't read in five characters has cost more effort than reading, but hey, good you let us all know. Now we can move on. |
For every female that becomes a "Hollywood Stargirl", more than a thousand are chewed up and spit out by the Hollywood machine and end up selling their souls on the boulevard of broken dreams. Yet, Disney and other Hollywood mega-conglomerates will perpetuate the fantasy that any girl can make it in Tinseltown so expect many more to chase after delusions of stardom. |
Well, actually, she did. She won America's Got Talent at 12 tears old. Became a singing star. Made a successful movie. And now another one. And she will go on to be a superstar, as she writes all her own music. I'd say she is a Stargirl. |
@Guest-1159 & @NCPirate missing the point by a mile are we? here, let me repeat it for you. For every female that becomes a "Hollywood Stargirl", more than a thousand are chewed up and spit out by the Hollywood machine and end up selling their souls on the boulevard of broken dreams. NOW, READ IT. |
One persons opinion isn't necessarily another persons opinion. |
@Guest-3641 not opinion, this one is truth. Do you think every person that goes to hollywood becomes a megastar? In what reality do you live in where every person that wants to be famous achieves it. |
I wonder who is missing the point. Cyberian and Guest-1159 are making different points, aren't they? |
How do you think Disney keeps them coming to Hollywood so Disney could keep chewing them up and spitting them out? How are they incentivized at all to show the gritty reality when the propaganda they pump out works in their favor? |
Well well, little AGT Grace Vanderwaal all growed up... And still looking like a 12 year old. With the new haircut, like a 12 year old boy mostly, priests will salivate over this movie. She's an ok singer but i'm not impressed by her acting. Still, a fairly decent 90 minutes. Don't expect much story, it's a typical extortion mouse production. |
Never forget you are an irreplaceable, always special, shining being full of potential. |
