The only review out there so far on this says this is a good watch so giving it a go Wish me luck |
Isn't it great when the mods get sarcastic about they offer on their site? They should rather be occupied with something else, though. Like moderating. |
very english saying...especially in south london "give it some brut force"... "use abit of brut force" meaning give it as much as you can with what you can eg. if you was taking a stubben nut off a bolt.. you would use abit of brut force |
I saw in the comments some people haven't heard of this word either. Brut: the definitive video media to enlightening information. Culture, news, lgbtq, politics, planet, activism, breaking stereotypes, entertainment, travel. Why you would name your movie this I don't understand because people start wondering about the word rather than the horrible movie this is. I guess that may have been the reason for Brut. |
The director, producer and writer is Eve Symington. The lead actress is Lelia Symington. One of the actors in it is Sidney Symington. They are all related in real life. The two women are real life siblings. I don't know if the guy is also their siblings or their father. He can't be one of their husband. So this movie is a family project with an agenda message about illegal immigration and migrant workers and low wage laborers and the reviews are dismal. If you still need more convincing to stay away, look at the freshmanish acting in the trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV7hQzKR1ec Or read the single review on IMDB posted by a member of 17 years. "A Complete Creative Disaster Wow. I was interested in seeing this film and now I'm looking to get my time back. It's really a horribly realized film. Poorly constructed -- the writing AND directing is a complete failure. The acting is sub par. Maybe the actors are bad but maybe they ust seem bad because the story line and directing is so horrible. Avoid at all costs." |
I bailed on this after twenty minutes - might finish the rest later when I am finished watching paint drying But yeah, the acting, if you can even call it that, is atrocious especially the lead actress, sidebar: do they still 'do' actresses or is it all actors nowadays, who delivers ALL her line in the same smarmy. 'hotshot' lawyer manner Can't see this winning many Oscars - if any |
Seriously anyone who titles their movie taking their spelling of Brute from the aftershave needs no introduction. |
I believe it's a play on words due to the fact that it takes place (in part) at a vineyard. Think Brut as in Champagne, not Brut as in aftershave. |
I think you'll find there is a world outside of your cheap aftershave closet. Brut means dry, or raw and other adjectives in French. France is one of the hundreds of countries around the world that doesn't speak stupid, I mean English. |
