Rock band from San Francisco (California), which existed in the years 1967-1969, several times changed the composition. The name is based on a character from the poem "Jabberwocky" from the fairy tale "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll. They released one three-song EP, but were quite famous. After the dissolution, four musicians (Bobby Winkelman, Jack King, Ross Valory, David Denny) became members of the Steve Miller Band. Then bassist Ross Valory, along with another "bandersnatch" guitarist George Tickner and two "Santan" Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie in 1973 created the band "Journey". Ross Valory is still with Journey.
