So, they took "Treasure of the Sierra Madre", removed everything interesting, added washed-out color, and swapped Bogey for Efron? WHY?!? |
Such a typically Australian production, its a brutal landscape a beautiful country, again there will be those who hate it, but it just requires a different attention paid to it, I enjoyed it. One might says there are faults with the film but i dont agree any fault lies in the viewer not the film.....thank you uploader! Different strokes for different folks i guess |
thx for the torrent :) a rather dull affair of a film. i can see the point, but not sure it had the right screenplay to sell it for me. the ending just fell flat and now i feel i have lost time of my life i wont ever get back and could have spent better doing laundry or learning to knit. i actually kept watching all the way through, thinking that at any moment something interesting was going to happen. i mean they paid to get zac to star so it must have some redeemable quality right? i may have to watch an episode of new amsterdam just to cheer me up....which says it all. |
Really enjoyed the movie, could have been anywhere with all the different language on the signs but I have to ask 1 question, did the Irish chick get the Gold? |
so if you havent seen the treasure of ? as guest 9192 says, which i did not. its ok. its a struggle movie on your own, surrounded by howls. in the heat. the colour is moody, the acting is fine, but the ending is less than to be desired. |
This was a great flick for me. I wonder why all the Korean signs and even the Airplane had Korean writing on it. |
the colourist hed a big part in this because desert cokour is not normal and it makes it gritier. its really well done, i wouldnt want to be there. but maybe after that was found |
Looks like another movie that fell victim to this https://torrentgalaxy.to/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=2295 |
The 'washed out' out color is called 'Cinema', 'Movie', or something similar and sets the 'color temperature' towards the red end which is what the director intended. It is also better for your eyes as it gets rid of the nasty blue which is bad for them. Give it a try, once you get used to it there is no going back |
You often see 'colorist' listed in the credits of a movie I have often wondered what they did because whatever they do isn't noticeable Maybe this is an extreme example of what isn't ordinarily noticeable |
Sometimes if you didn't notice it means that they actually did a great job. You may have spotted it right away if they didn't do it. 🤔😏 |
