Even if they can get the world to look up and be aware a comet is coming, what can anyone do in 6 months? Where are you going to go? We are not at the technology where we can just get on a starship and go to another planet. Even NASA and SpaceX and Blue Origin and the European Space Program and the Russian Space Program and the Chinese Space Program were to unite and work together, there is still not anything they can do! Sending up 100 Nuclear Weapons to hit the Comet won't do much good. They just impact on the surface. |

| Yeah well, this is the 'moral maze' question, the answer is that it would be imperative (even if you had a means to prevent it) to let the comet strike the Earth and wipe out humanity  This movie doesn't really hammer home, nay, even mention this point. Instead, it pokes fun at a serious subject. But I see  that it is part comedy so maybe that goes somewhere to explaining it. |
