| Very first reviews out of 30 total reviews I see on the main page at IMDB tells me no 1. Stereotypes galore There are a lot of blatant stereotypes in this series but one of the worst is the sips manager who is supposed to be Swedish but uses the worst, most offensive accent I've ever heard. This could have been a great series, despite the name, had the character development been a bit more thought out. 2. The show is a haphazard mix of identity jokes, class wars, toxic gender roles, stereotyping, and character that behave in ways no rational human would. 3. They're Supposed to Be 18, but look 29 Sorry, but when we are supposed to believe these people are straight out of high school, when they clearly aren't, it's just distracting. I couldn't even finish episode 1. 4. Political correctness has ruined TV and Film Forced political correctness once again, not even organically smoothed into the various events of the series, just thrown into irrelevant dialog. Why does every teen and young adult show HAS to contain political correct content and say something about it? Stop making it the main focus of everything! 5. Wokeness of this show is one reason it can't be funny. Full of cliches. Mindy Knows how to milk that woke holy cow for commercial and pc culture success. |
