@Leftist: THAT was a good one. He even kind of resembles what one would generalize as a crackhead! (See screenshot #2) |

A8/V9 as far as the movie not great not the worst covid movie either ... as far as the other get over yourself your the dumb ass that put that sht into you no one to blame but yourself for your own stupidity.. calling it a disease is just a snowflakes way of trying to put the blame non everyone else but the person at fault/ you.. and for there stupidity the rest of us who need the meds have a difficult time getting it because of there sheer stupidity ....i wont even get into the fools idea of giving them disability for being dumb ass crying snowflakes ... |
Being someone who suffers from chronic pain and can no longer get the medication i need - the medication I was on for a decade WITHOUT ever getting addicted - due to a bunch of weak-willed idiots who can't "just say 'NO'", I find the whiny addict-apologists highly offensive. I come from a family of alcoholics, did recreational drugs in my teens, drank a LOT in my 20s & 30s, spent almost 2 years in a relationship with a woman who turned-out to be hooked on heroin, (and got her through withdrawal 3 times, 'though it never stuck,) smoked for 33 years then quit cold-turkey once I decided to. Addiction is NOT a "disease", it's merely idiots being idiots and I've seen and done enough to know it. Decide to quit then quit - it's that simple. I have no sympathy whatsoever for addicts but I feel for those they damage on their way to the death that doesn't ever come soon enough. |
This was a delightful Christmas story! Even I enjoyed it & I'm an adult. Get it! |
2257 seriously??! Really come on dude. As someone who is 10 years clean but still suffers from the addiction issues inflected on my generation by the oxy epidemic keep your asshole opinions to the movies and off human issues bc you seriously don't know what you're taking about |
2160, my comment was in response to YoungBloodNY82, who didn't comment on the movie. As for your problem, there is no such thing as an "oxy epidemic": epidemics are large outbreaks of communicable diseases. You abused a DRUG, as idiots will, but then you stopped. That's willpower. You have no physical dependency, only a psychological one and if you ever go back to abusing oxy it's not due to the "disease of addiction" but to stupidity and lack of willpower. It's because of people like you that so many of us who suffer disabling pain every day are unable to get the medications that take the edge off that pain enough so that we can work, let alone play and enjoy living. You know addiction because you are weak and became an addict. I know addiction is JUST weakness because I've seen it and because I've used the same drugs people get addicted to for extended periods with no ill effects. Family full of alcoholics and I drank like a fish most days for almost 2 decades yet didn't drink when I didn't feel like it and stopped when I wanted - no DTs, ever. Now I drink about a 6-pack a year. Smoked until I wanted to stop and haven't had one since '04. Took opioids several times a day every day for 10 years yet had no problem not taking ever-increasing doses and no withdrawal once my doctor could no longer prescribe them due to people like you. YOU are the one who doesn't know what you're talking about, the one who can see the world only through the lens of your own weakness. Get over yourself! |
