![]() | @ Guest-2620 I regret to inform you that all reputed persons have left the building and you're stuck with me. ![]() I'm assuming you've read the plot synopsis above, so I'll cut straight to the chase. This is one of those artsy-fartsy films with a rambling, cryptic subplot about the futility of trying to save the planet. Think angry & fully grown Groot (from Guardians of The Galaxy) playing hide-and-seek in a spooky forest. Throw in a father and son survivalist family straight from an episode of The Beverly Hillbillies, a semi-attractive female park ranger (who inadvertently invades the privacy of their humble abode and develops a crush on the son) and just for good measure, let's add hallucinogenic fungus spores that float around in the air and put everyone on a bad LSD trip. You get the picture. Looking on the positive side, the cinematography is excellent (camera angles, scenery, make-up and FX) and you do get to see 5 seconds of naked boobs. If you like artsy movies, you might like this. For me, it was just too incoherent and lacked a satisfying conclusion. I guess with artsy films, you have to fill in the missing pieces yourself? Runtime is 1 hour and 32 minutes. Hard-coded subtitles are included for the foreign language dialogs (Dutch or Afrikaans maybe?) and the A/V is excellent, as usual. Rating the movie 5/10. And will not eat mushrooms on my next pizza order. Thanks, Galaxy RG. 🥂 |
