Despite the name George A. Romero this isn't a zombie movie It is a 5K, yes 5K, not 4K scan of a badly-dented print Kind of like Long Story Short and even Never Let Me Go it is a cautionary tale that we all grow older; the message is to do something now whilst you can - unless you are already olf It reminds me of a book I read as a kid - The Sentinel It was made into a, probably bad film, anyway films are always a poor substitute for a book PLOT SPOILER It began with a young woman renting an apartment. In the window was an old nun apparently blind who sat in a rocking chair looking out the window permanently - real creepy The book - and maybe the movie - ends with the young woman now being the old nun sat in the window That book taught me a valuable lesson as a young kid - that life is cyclical Assuming we live long enough we will become the old wo/man in the window As the 71-year-old guy at the beginning of this movie says - we will all become old So make preparations now, whilst you can |
Directed by George A. Romero Has to be at least semi-watchable, surely? |
@Guest-3055 That's because it's an educational film, and was never meant as a feature. |
