An occupied desert nation. A radical from the wilderness on hunger strike. A girl whose mysterious dance will change the course of the world.
This charged retelling turns the infamous biblical tale on its head, placing the girl we call Salomé at the centre of a revolution.
Internationally acclaimed theatre director Yaël Farber (Les Blancs, The Crucible) draws on multiple accounts to create her urgent, hypnotic production on the stage of the National Theatre.

This is a recode from a much larger torrent which is no longer active as of my writing.
The original torrent title is available in the NFO file in this folder for any interested.
The experience of the play will be unique to anyone who sees it. More review content
will reveal how it was received when it was new. This is not an Easter show. Farber's larger
work as director including Lorraine Hansberry's "Le Blancs" and Arthur Miller's "The Crucible"
will give a better idea of what the viewer will experience.
My notes will just mention a bit about the subtitles. The English SRT text files are
included from the broadcast source of the play and the Introduction by Samira Ahmed.
I've added subtitles for Arabic Chinese Hebrew Russian Yiddish (JI) French and Hindi. But others can be added via the Help file called called How to get more subtitles is in this upload.
There are also embedded or hard coded subtitles in Hebrew as the speech of John the Baptist
(Iakannan.) I have not altered those in any way.
