Thank you GalaxyRG Audio 8 Video 8 The Acting is Pretty Average.... And The Plot Isn’t that Interesting.... It's a Slog to Get Through.. |
You say that like The Silencing was a bad movie. But it wasn't. Far from it. There was enough to keep you engaged and watching till the very end. |
The director has been smart enough to hold back on the 'romance' element between the two main characters. Other protagonists have the impression that there is more going on between them than there really is. But it only goes so far and stops short at a point; going any further would have spoiled the movie. Kudos to the director for not falling into the 'trap' :facepalm |
Oh yeah, and there are some scenes of trapped animal (wolves/huskies?) especially in the opening scenes. Something which some viewers may find distressing. |
Brooding, atmospheric thriller with a cracking, misty soundtrack. Not the most original of plots, no so convoluted that you are in danger of losing track of it, so maybe that is a good thing. Shot on location in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. So lots of atmospheric shots. Gives you a good sense of the area. Worth watching just for the cinematography and the soundtrack alone. And just to look at Michaela Kurimsky :love Still managing to look good when she is meant to be dowdy even down to unkempt hair and a do-it-yourself uneven fringe :-* Nothing like The Silencing though. |
