| This is to explain what the definitions are for subtitles so you can understand what your reading before grabbing the file your looking for....... 8o Hardcoded Subs - These are subtitles that have been encoded into the movie there is no turning them on or off you can not rencode the movie to get rid of them it's a done deal.... :facepalm Softsubs - These are subtitles that are encoded into the movie as above.... with these you "Can" turn them on or off at will and you can also take them out by rencoding the movie and turning the subtitles off or deleting them depending on the encoder.. :) Forcedsubs - These i despise these are subtitles that are turned on by default they will start every time the movie starts watching half hour tv seires this can get quite annoying. You have to turn them off manually,, if you can or your stuck with them... On a good note you can take them out by rencoding the movie ...:o) Subtitles included - These are the ones i like best these come with a separate .srt file, they are not encoded into the movie nor do you have to do anything just turn them on or off leaving you with a smaller sized movie.... I hope this gives you a better understanding of what your getting when it comes to subtitles :) Have Fun Downloading :D:D Last edited by Superbikemike on 2020-12-15 23:34:05 | |

| English subs for foreign language parts only. Are these used here and how are they indicated ? I think they are sometimes called "english 1" Not sure about that. | |

| Forced subs are of course [also] used to translate none english dialog into English, in [normally] english shows and films - so you dont always actually want to remove them, or turn them off. | |

| Is it possible to change on a easy way, without encoding, the title of the sub track? I have some movies like this: Track 1 -> Track 13 And I want to change it like: Track 1''- English'' Track 2'' - German'' Most movies got the track named into the language. Which software is the best to change this? I found out that MKVToolNix can do this. Maybe there is other software that only can do this. I have a very old PC. | Like imonline says the easiest way is run what ever the video format is through mkvtoolnix-gui, if you don't mind only using .mkv. You can also use MKVCleaver or gMKVExtractGUI to extract what ever from a .mkv container. | |
